14. Secret, Just Like Your Past

"I beat it! I fucking finally beat it!"

"That's just a zombie though... You should be happy when you kill a boss."

"Ahhhhh! Oh my god what a nightmare. Everything is already so unrealistic, even my mentality, I can't have any more fighting."

Arthur dreamt of the past again. It was a nightmare, well an unrealistic nightmare. What will happen to him is much more unrealistic.

As Arthur remenence about his past, one thought passed through him. Arthur was a weeb, well not an anime weeb, he actually doesn't watch a lot after years. But he has read many manhwa's and novels. So tropes are something he knew to some extent.

Arthur remembered many stories of cults and realized something.

"In any world with a leading power... There is always... A rebel...". Arthur smiled. In fact he smirked. He was so happy of the thought, he immediately pulled out his map and studied it so hard, he gave up.

"Ok, I can't really see anything here. I'll just go to every mountain there is. So... Long journey I guess.".

The continent Arthur was in was called "Darin" the continent of the goblins. The continent had many mountains, and based on what Seya once said, the very middle was the capital.

"And what's the best place for a secret organization? The capital.". Coincidentally the capital was right next to a mountain. A mountain range to be exact. Surrounding the middle like a half crescent moon.

"Well, now I know where to go... But should I go with Seya? I mean... Maybe they have a way to remove the curse from her..."

"Well... I mean I can always do it later. We go alone for now.". Arthur now started his journey. He was at the edge of the continent so the journey to the middle of it was for sure going to take long. Looking at the map, the world was definitely not just 3x the size of earth. Maybe if 3 earth was flattened to the ground and all connected to each other with hollow inside, that was a better analogy.

"If I upgrade my skills and just by timing it by the speed I can travel... This is more than 10 days of travel. Well... I guess travelling a continent is not meant to be a day trip."

Arthur called the Seya first. Arthur will be gone for a very long time. And behind the scenes, literally, Arthur has done many things for the village. He basically ordered them around and did not stop for a day. These goblins couldn't leave by themselves.

Seya arrived at his chamber. "Seya, what will happen if I leave for more than 10 days?".

"If a chief leaves for more than a day a newer chief is instated."

"Hmmm... Ok, i'll just kill the chief later. I have to go.".

Arthur just left, after a long time, adapting to his ability, any consequences don't matter anymore. He can always come back and try again.

16 hours later...

"Now that it's night, should I sleep? Nah!".

Arthur continued and continued. He did not stop nor even took a break a single second.

13 days later...

It took 13 days to even see the mountain. Arthur climbed a tree to view the entire middle continent and Arthur was flabbergasted. What he saw was something that made a goblin village sound like it came from ancient times.

The entire king was so big it covered the entire mountain range. Even make the mountain a part of its kingdom. With a huge castle towering to the sky even reaching the height of a 10000 feet.

"Ok... That is amazing... What the fuck, I wanna live in that, like alone, then just look down at my kingdom and drink coffee... even if I don't drink coffee nor can I even drink...". Arthur stared at the kingdom far longer than what one should. Just like what he did when he first came into this world. But this time the save pop up wouldn't distract him...

But realizing he had to save did.

After saving his game, Arthur went around the middle continent to go to the back of the mountain. He definitely can't enter the capital through the front door, and it was not like he would do it any way. He just wanted to find a secret base of some secret organization.

It took a whole day just to go around the mountain range and the kingdom.

"Man a medieval type kingdom with a huge castle, I can't wait to take over this kingdom."

After coming behind the mountain, Arthur just stood there stupidly. Well he actually had no idea what to do after that.

"Ok so where is this secret village...". Arthur had no choices other than what he was good at. Arthur wasted almost 3 days of his entire life looking at grasses to see if there were any secret entrances. But after 3 days it was worth it. Finally Arthur found something.

Arthur found goblins inside a cave full of grass, vines and trees inside. Two goblins were guarding the place. But the two were very carefree and absolutely used to nothing ever happening.

"Did you go somewhere yesterday?"

"No, not at all. Did you?"

"Yes, I went with my wife to the capitals theater."

"Stop showing off your wife man."

"Showing off? Just get better, hahahahaha."

"Too far man! Too far!".

The two goblins talked like normal people. Just them talking already gave relief at Arthur's heart. He was just happy he found normal people who were just not robots that didn't talk.

Arthur approached the two goblins guarding, but first he made sure to save. If this was a secret entrance to a secret base, Arthur definitely couldn't enter properly.

But Arthur didn't expect how this conversation would go at all.

"Hello you two, nice to meet you. Can I ask you guys some questions." Arthur bowed once again and put up a kind, respectable man act.

"We've been waiting for you."

"Come in."

"What?" The two goblins just talked casually like a being in full black that was slugging like a slime was standing in front of them. The two just didn't react, they even knew about Arthur...

"How do you know me."

"You're the man who killed Nasuer."

"Yeah! Of course we know you."

"Nasuer?". Arthur questioned who the man named Nasuer was. But if killed, there were only 3 goblins he was killed in that time line. His previous chieftain. The other village chieftain. And the air swordsman. And the swordsman made much more sense.

"You didn't even know his name? Hahahaha."

"Poor guy, he died of a man who didn't even know him. Hahahaha."

"Is it a swordsman who had air blades coming out of his body?"

"Yes of course."

"Now come in, the boss is waiting for you.". Arthur didn't even try to question them. If things didn't go well he just had to try again. But right now it was going way too well. But that's better than nothing. And dying was not really a problem.

Arthur entered a gap between two trees. It was a tight space, but he did it. He then heard the two goblins outside say something.

"Well we could have just opened it..."

"Guess he was excited hahahaha."

As Arthur entered the cave, the insides were just like any other caves. It was full of rocks and random holes carved out.

"I can carve that too, hehehe."

"Can you?"

A random goblin suddenly appeared when he looked just a second away from the path. Arthur was also strong enough to even notice people sneaking behind him, but he couldn't even feel the presence of this man even after looking at him.

"Are you the leader...?".

"No, I am your guide... Follow me to my boss."

Arthur then followed. He took a step to the very end of the cave and then went through stone. After phasing through walls, Arthur then walked longer and longer in a path. And the situation between the two just became awkward.

'I've spent a day without even talking to my parents at the same home, I could do this with no problem... I wish.'

Arthur just kept on walking. He was now in a very long one way path that he could barely see the end off. Arthur kept wanting to start a conversation but urged not to and urged to.

After a really long and awkward few minutes of walking they finally arrived.

"Apologies for the long walk, to keep a secret and full proof entrance, it needed to be as far away from the capital as possible."

The goblin bowed, then left him. In front of Arthur was a door. And all he could possible guess the thing behind the door was the leader of whatever type of organization he has stumbled upon.

'Time to look good.'. Arthur transformed into his other form and entered the door.

"It is an honor to meet you... As you may already know, my name is Arthur Pendragon.". Arthur had his eyes closed and yes he can close them without having them.

As soon as Arthur faced up and opened his eyes, he almost laughed. In front of him was a desk and a chair that faced backwards. But the typical villain pose was not the only thing he found hilarious. It was that, the chair was a wooden one.

"Nice to meet you, Arthur. I have been waiting for you."

The goblin stood and faced Arthur. He was much smaller than he thought, but the goblin looked dignified and full of confidence.

It was a goblin that wore an eye patch in hus right eye and had a small full beard.

Arthur once again held laughing. But still he was impressed and terrified at the same time. He should not forget what situation he was currently in.

"How do you know about me."

"I have my connections." He slowly moved forward and sat on his desk.

"Just tell me, stop playing around."

"Oh you don't have to be so serious... I can tell you if you pay me...". Arthur made way to his pockets to pull a dragon scale out. Then the goblin continued. "Hahaha, i'm joking, you don't have to-"

Arthur pulled out the dragon scale and the goblins personality completely changed.

"Is that a water dragon scale! Where did you get it! I'll give you anything!"

The goblin rushed and jumped at him like a little child wanting to reach a candy.

Even Arthur was surprised.

"Let me lick it!"

"What the fuck!"
