Chapter 21

Sam kept trying to hit Mechy for 20 hours to no avail, he was so engrossed in his mission that he didn't even realize that he didn't feel any fatigue in the dream world. Mechy also didn't attack even once after the first punch to Sam's nose, right now all Mechy was doing was dodging and analyzing Sam's moves while once in awhile giving him an advice without stopping him.

After 100 hours of training Sam put his right leg in front of him and used a shoulder hit as a bait and when he saw Mechy trying to dodge he crouched and dashed as fast as he could with his hands aiming for a grapple, he wanted to push Mechy to the ground to hinder his annoying mobility.

As soon as Sam's hand caught the surprised Mechy's legs he pulled with his hands and pushed with his shoulders which made Mechy lose it's balance and trip, Sam followed Mechy to the ground and threw a punch straight for it's nose as a revenge.

Mechy moved it's head to the right and Sam's fist connected with the grass instead of the head he was aiming for, Mechy still looked extremely relaxed as it dodger punch after punch by moving it's head from side to side and gave a lesson to Sam at the same time.

[Although feints aren't very useful against stupid beasts you'll need to learn how to effectively use them before the Olympics, against humans they are one of your most effective weapons, that shoulder feint was very nice.]

Finally as Sam flung his fist down another time Mechy didn't dodge and took it straight to the nose, although the clone's nose was bleeding Mechy smiled and the dream world faded to be soon replaced by Sam's room.

[Congratulations, yo-]

Sam who was enjoying his training didn't let Mechy finish it's sentence and impolitely cut it off in the middle of it:

"Why didn't you dodge ?!"

Mechy who could probe into Sam's mind knew why he was getting heated up and so it explained.

[If I kept dodging you would never be able to hit me, I can calculate the angle, the strength, the speed and all these factors in less than a millisecond after you started your move and as long as you don't get stronger you won't be able to hit me even if you give it your all. For now I will help you accomplish your missions and in the future we can spar fair and square.]

Sam heard that and he knew that Mechy was being honest, he was too weak to get anywhere near hitting Mechy with his own power. He sighed and wholeheartedly accepted his defeat.

"Alright, you win but I'll beat you up with my own strength one day !"

[I can't wait.]

For some reason Sam thought he heard some teasing in Mechy's voice but he shrugged it off, he then said:

"What about my reward ?"

As soon as he said that he felt a jolt in his brain as if he had received an electric shock and soon there was a new memory in his brain, it wasn't there before and he was certain of it but it felt extremely familiar.

The new memory was the image of a humanoid body, the only difference with humans were their dark horns as if they were made of obsidian and their huge wings, as Sam focused on the silhouette he could see through its skin, muscles, bones and all that was left were the huge amount of veins going from the heart to every part of it's body, inside the veins there was a small white light flowing in a set pattern around the body, it went from the heart to the lungs, then followed a long and complicated path in the labyrinth of veins to each leg followed by the two arms and finally disappeared after setting in the back of the head.

Sam was going to ask questions but he was too late as Mechy had already read his mind:

[This is the body of a Zorg, except for their horns and wings they are exactly the same as humans, after checking thoroughly I'm certain that their techniques would work on you.]

Sam looked at the huge dark wings in awe, how cool was that ? They looked like fallen angels with their demonic looking horns and wings as dark as the pitch black night.

Mechy who had read Sam's mind once again continued:

[Actually, although I don't know any way to get you wings naturally there is a very simple way to make working wings. All you need is to learn what I teach you and then you can use the beast core and the materials from a grade 2 flying beast or higher to craft them.]

Sam jumped on his bed and couldn't help but exclaim:

"For real ?! I'll be able to fly ?"

As Sam took a long time to calm down from his ecstatic Mechy gave up and answered all the questions he had about the crafting process of different objects, when they were on Tunger moon he was too focused on his immediate objective and so he threw the other things Mechy had said to the back of his mind but since he had remembered about it and he had free time now it was the right moment to ask.

"What do I need to craft those strong items you talked about ?"

[A basic furnace that can burn to 3209° celcius, an anvil and a hammer that won't break after a few hits.]

Sam was surprised by how easy it sounded as he expected Mechy to bring out stupidly expensive or rare stuff to help him in the crafting.

"That's all ? I don't need no expensive furnace that can reach the temperature of the sun or something like that ?"

[Well we won't be working on grade 5 or higher beasts material anytime soon so you don't need that, for the grade three beast that you have right now that's enough, by the way Sam don't you think it's time to cultivate ? You have the method to do it now and you have a fair amount of grade one beast cores, what are you waiting for ?]

Sam who was too light-headed often drifted too far in his thoughts and forgot about what he had been doing earlier and now he finally remembered that he had gotten his hands on the technique used by the Zorgs !

He stood up slowly and reached for the pouch that was lying on his desk not so far away from his bed and pulled it close to him, he pulled out one small red stone from inside and out the rest on his bed next to him.

After sitting back down on his bed he slowly used the memory in his head to control the flow of the energy he pulled from the beast core and very slowly to avoid any mistake took a whole hour to finish one revolution.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked at his body and realized that he was feeling weird as if he had too much energy, he tried standing up but his leg was completely fine now !
