Sam jumped on the spot a few times and his legs were completely fine.

"What is happening?"

It wasn't his first time using a beast core as he had bought one before and used it to breakthrough from the shackles of being a normal human, that was the lowest requirement to join the military so both Sam and Edward had done it but the method they had used before was all over the place, they just pulled all the energy inside the beast core in one full swoop and they tried spreading it to their whole body just like you butter a toast but obviously this method wasn't reliable as it would leave holes at some places.

[These are the benefits of this technique, not only does it bring you closer to evolving but it also compensated the flaws your body had from your half assed breakthrough. The healing of your legs is barely a side effect.]

Hearing the smug undertone of Mechy, Sam felt like jumping it right now and teaching it a good lesson but soon enough forgot about that idea when Mechy said:

[I'm ready to fight anytime, let's go to the dream world and I won't hold back this time.]

"Hahaha I'm kidding, I'm kidding, how could I even want to hit my benefactor ?"

After joking for awhile Mechy asked Sam to check his status page and he complied, as soon as he opened it his eyes went as wide as saucers and he couldn't mutter a single word !

There were only two changes to his status page, the first one was the mythril dagger that wasn't appearing anymore since he wasn't carrying it but this was normal, the shocking part was his experience !

It had suddenly jumped 5 whole percents from 2 to 7 ! That was insane because it meant that if Sam kept absorbing first grade beast cores whenever his body was willing to absorb it would take him only 20 beast cores to get to become a grade two evolver ! Talent was calculated in two ways by humans, the first one was the number of cores they needed to evolve from grade one to grade two and the second one was how much cores they could absorb in one go, on planet Moryl someone could be considered a genius if they evolved with 450 beast cores and if they could absorb 2 beast cores a day. In Central where the true geniuses were gathered a genius would be able to evolve with 300 beast cores and could absorb up to 5 cores a day!

"Isn't your technique way too strong Mechy ? At this rate I wouldn't even lose to the kids in Central, in fact I would be completely crushing them in terms of speed !"

Although it sounded like he was complaining Sam actually had a huge smile on his face, competing with the geniuses of Central ? That was the goal in the first place !

The reason why Sam thought he could compete with the geniuses of Central was because these guys were provided everything they needed to get strong from their youngest age but they still needed just like everyone else an astounding number of 300 to 500 beast cores to go from grade one to grade two evolver ! Sam on the other hand even though he had started a lot later than these geniuses would be a grade two evolver in no time with this unbelievable technique !

[I think you should hide your strength, going from grade one to grade two so fast will bring some greedy people to look for your secrets.]

"No need, I believe the military and the king will do all they can to protect me. I just need to say something like I was already close to grade two when I was exiled and everything will go smoothly."

[I see, then get stronger as fast as you can to be able to protect yourself and not count on other people.]

"That was the plan from the beginning."

Sam grinned, his future was looking brighter day by day and he finally started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

'Ates clan; I won't let you wait much longer, give me 5 years and I'll take you down !'

Sam's grin was leaking a crazed vibe which would have made anyone shiver if they saw it, nobody could expect a young man of barely 17 years to have such strong hatred for something.

[Sam, stop thinking of the future and focus on getting stronger.]

Mechy reminded him and the voice calmed him down a notch, he grabbed a second grade one beast core and tried pulling in the energy but it seemed like his body was refusing to take anymore of it, after he absorbed all the energy the core in his hands crumbled but he hadn't absorbed even a small bit of it, it had all went in the air and was pulled outside by the air conditionner.

[Each body have a limit of beast energy it can refine in a single day, it seems like your limit is 1 beast core a day. You'll need approximately 20 days to evolve even though for humans it is incredibly fast, you would be considered relatively slow compared to the whole universe, keep training hard and also start the preparations for the crafting.]

"Understood !"

Sam did a military salute to the air and collapsed on his bed, he really felt like Mechy was a military instructor and found the scene funny: the small robot with the curled antennae in which Mechy was in the first time they met dressed in a military uniform, training troops of burly soldiers.

"Hahahah !"

Sam curled in his bed because of how funny he found his idea but he forget one important detail, Mechy could read his mind and so when Mechy couldn't endure being mocked anymore he was pulled in the dream world and mercilessly beaten up.
