Little Rabbit In My Room 1

Heading back to his residence was Jin Ling with Dao Li behind him as Always.

"Eh.. Young Master, do you also think that the first lady had something to do with the well incident?"

Dao Li asked as he was still quite confused about everything. For months, he has known Ming Xia as a gentle and kind person.

Never in his dreams would he imagine she's trying to hurt someone for her benefit? It was all just too weird.

But before Jin Ling could say a word, they were both interrupted by the so-called Ming Xia.

With a straight face on, Ming Xia still tired to maintain her posture even when her eyes were red in tears and her cheeks red from the slaps given to her by her mother.

"I would like to speak to you privately," she spoke softly and upon hearing her words, Jin Ling was as expressionless as always.

"Dao Li, leave us!" He then said coldly, as Dao Li immediately nodded as he bowed and left.

With him gone, they were now both alone. Not willing to wait for her scripted words, he immediately broke the odd silence.

"I know what you did."

"Then you should have reported it to the old madame when you had the chance, at least it won't do more that add more punishment than there already is.."

Ming Xia replied almost distinctively.

Turning around, Jin Ling hands were folded as he then said, "It's really strange how you change so much... You aren't the Ming Xia I used to know... You wouldn't even think of hurting a fly, talk less of a person and your cousin of that matter.."

"Cousin? Which cousin are you referring too? I who have never been seen has a member of this family since the day I was born... Only to be taken for granted and bullied even by the one who calls herself my grandmother.."

Tears started to flow from Ming Xia's eyes slowly as she then said, "I don't get.. Why do you protect her so? J-j-just a few weeks ago you hated her to the bone, and now you defend her.. What exactly has she done to you?"

"I should be asking you that question, Ming Xia, what has she done to you? Yes, she may have been a brat and bullied everyone but for the last days… She has changed. She no longer acts the way she used to."

"Exactly! Why did she change? Don't tell me you aren't curious about that. She must be planning something, she must be planning to hurt you! Don't you see I'm trying to protect you!" She shouted.

"Protect me? It seems as though the first lady has forgotten her place… Do you need me to remind you who I am to you, I am your brother-in-law.. So you shouldn't care about me or think of protecting me… That isn't your job!" He said with a cold and grim tone.

"Wether or not Ming Mei is pretending, at least she is pretending to be a good person.. I don't see any bad thing in that. So I'll be the one to decide whom to trust, so you better don't repeat your actions.. Because next time, i promise to not protect you at all!"

He said, as he then turned around and left, leaving the drained Ming Xia standing there in tears as she collapsed on the ground.

And just right about then, the rain started. It was as though the universe was trying to play tricks with her as the rain poured heavily on her. Drenching her almost immediately.

"I'll make you mine, Jin Ling, just you wait and see!" She said in-between gritted teeth.

Meanwhile, I stood at the balcony of my yard with a sad face. It was raining and I was just about to head out to see brother-in-law.

I wanted to know how he was doing, and most of all thank him properly for saving my life. If not for him, I would be dead for the second time.

Sighing I took a seat as I waited for the rain to stop, but it didn't.

"Young Miss, it's already so late and it's freezing.. Please head back inside your room unless you'll catch a cold." Sisi came S she scolded me non-stop and so I had no other choice but to head back inside and sleep.

Pfft!!! Lies!

As soon as Sisi left the room, I immediately slipped into my white fur coat and snicked out.

I must see brother-in-law unless I won't be able to get a bit of sleep.

After all the sneaky moves.. I finally made it to brother-in-law"s residence without being seen by any guard or maid. It was still raining, so not all guards were outside. That was good!

Meanwhile, I had another problem before of me now. I couldn't get through the front door so I could only pass through the window, but it was so high and small, how could I possibly… Argh.

I can do this.

And with that, I used almost all my strength to get up and finally I made it to the window… But just as I entered in, I missed my step and was just about to fall down hard.

Awaiting the impact of the hard ground, my eyes were shot tightly but instead I felt big, soft and cold hands wrapped about my body and once I opened my eyes, I was graced with the beauty of no one besides the male lead.

"How come there's a rabbit in my room?"
