29 Kidnapped 1

I mustered all my strength, made it inside, but almost tumbled.

As I braced for impact, strong hands caught me, and to my surprise, I found myself face to face with the male lead.

"Why is there a rabbit in my room?" he questioned.

As my face immediately turned as red as a tomato as I realized that he still carried me in his arms.

"Y-you are awake?" i stuttered slightly as he nodded and helped me down my feet.

"Hmm.. you shouldn't be here.. it's raining and you might fall sick since you haven't Fully recovered yet, you should head back to your room." She commanded as he walked towards his table side and say down.

But I wasn't going to go so soon, after all I suffered to get here.

Walking towards him, I sat down opposite him as he sighed slightly.

"You seem to be writing, what are you writing?" I asked as I started at the characters which j couldn't quite understand.

"It seems like the third Missy needs to start school." He muttered slightly.

Start school? Maybe in the future you could but here in the historical days, girls were only thought embroidery and etiquette of a proper lady.

The room was silent as only our heart beats could be heard. I couldn't Keep my eyes of him.

It was as though he become more and more good looking at each character he wrote.

But finally my Next question broke the lingering silence, "Brother in-law, why don't you become my personal guard?"

"what?" he asked shocked as expected.

What the hell was I thinking asking him in such a way.

Quickly standing up, I shaked my hands in denial, "I-i-i didn't mean it that way.. it's just that, you being my guard could help you in the mansion.. you'll be seen as a significant person and no one would ever dare to be disrespectful."

I continued, "Not just that, it would come with various advantages, you would have access to goof food and a new mansion with nice clothes.. your life would be much better in the mansion!"

I said smiling from ear to ear as Jin Ling just looked at me lost for words.

"if you need a guard, you could just ask your old Madame for one, why bother me?" he asked as he pretended not to care.

Sighing, I then stood up and made my way out through the front door this time.

Sighing, he took it and then made his way out to hand it over to her.

After all she mustn't have gone too far but to his surprise he was welcomed with something quite horrific.

Just few steps ahead of him was Ming Mei but something was wrong.

As a carriage stopped in front of her and in a blink of an eye, two men in black jumped out and knocked her out before placing her into the carriage and riding off.

Seeing this, Jin Ling was in dismay as he shouted her name out loud, "Ming Mei! Ming Mei."

But the carriage kept on doing, without wasting much time.. he quickly jumped on a horse, took a sword and went after the carriage.

The carriage was fast but he still manage to keep up with it but slowed down at some point.

In no time, the carriage entered into a deserted Forest unknown to most villagers.

Making sure he wasn't seen, Jin Ling was steady and quiet. His face only shown worry as he hoped that Ming Mei was alright!

The entire Palace was in chaos as a male servant ran towards the main hall where the old Madame and her sons with his wife were.

"Old Madame, bad news! Bad news!" they declared as the old Madame immediately became worried.

"What bad news?" Hui Li asked as the servant then revealed the saddening news.

"I-it's the Third Missy…s-she- has been kidnapped!"
