A new friend

The next day was sunny, but still wet from yesterday's storm as I walk down the cobblestone street. Looking of into the store shop windows. Wearing a light blue jacket over a plain peach colored tank top with a lavender skirt with flowers on it and simple lavender dress shoes. As I'm looking of in the shop windows I notice a cute puppy laying in a dark ally in a box. Shivering and wet from the cold rain from yesterday. Instinctively I walk over to see if the puppy was all right, but notice a coller around his neck. I bend down to look at the coller, but the was no tags. Looking down at the puppy I notice it was a male German shepherd puppy. "Awww, you are just a little sweetie" I say as I pick the puppy up as he tries to lick my face. At the bottom of the box there was a soggy piece of paper saying. "Please find him a good home" in smeared ink from the rain. Not knowing what to do and not wanting to leave the little puppy there, I decide I should see if I could keep him. Because even now that I'm a state alchemist i'm still a thirteen year old girl with a love of any animal big or small. So I carried the little puppy to work with me. "Goodmorning Risa look what I found in the ally" I say holding up the little puppy. "Oh isn't he adorable" Risa says looking at the puppy. "I know isn't he so cute, but i'm wondering what I should call him" I say setting the little puppy on the ground near my desk and grabbing my ham sandwich out of my lunch bag. Taking the ham off the sandwich I bend down and set it on the ground. Instantly the little puppy grabs it and starts eating. "Ooh I now I can call him shadow" I say setting my old tattered bag down on my desk. "Yeah that's a cute name" Risa says bending down to pet shadow. "Hey, what do you have there Colenel Mustang says walking into are area. "Oh, I found this super cute puppy on the way to work and I decided to keep him" I say picking up shadow. "Oh, also hears your hat" I say handing Mustang his hat that he let me borrow yesterday. "Oh about that, your cat ears there gone"Mustang say pointing at my head. "Yeah about that, I had to call up an old friend about a few tricks to help hide them , because I found out there is a way to hide it but it kind of is tricky" I say blushing from the attention. "Anyways" I say trying to change the subject. "I got to go change my clothes for training" I say grabbing my note book with my schedule in it. "Oh is it okay if you can take care of shadow for me" I ask Risa and Roy. "Sure, but only this once or you have to treat us all to lunch" Roy says. "Okay, fine" I say looking at my pocket watch. When I changed my clothes into my training uniform. (which they had to custom make because I don't think it's common to have a five-ft tall, ninety-pound teenage girl do training. Granite I did sign up for it, because its not bad to know some handy skills.) After I was done changing I put my other clothes in my locker and ran off to training. "Your late" The trainer says coldly, his back turned on me. "Sorry" I say putting my head down as he turns around to look at me. "Are you serious" He says laughing "Is this a joke". "Well does it look like a joke" I say getting agitated. Yeah I did have it coming for me, because I was like a foot shorter than everyone, but still that wasn't nice. That by the time the training was done It was late into the afternoon and I was one of the last of my class to leave all sweaty from running. As I walked down to the locker room I turned a corner and ran right into a lady. She had short black hair and was wearing a milatary uniform. "oh I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention" I say stepping back abarresed of looking off and not watching were I was going. "It's okay I wasn't paying much attention either" She says smileing "My name is Marie Ross" She says reaching out her hand. "Annora" I say shaking her hand "i'm kind of new hear" I say. "Really you seem so young to be working hear" Marie says. "Yeah I know, but I kind of needed the money so I applied" I reply lying. "How old are you anyway?" Marie asks. "Thirteen" I answer knowing that prombley sounded really insane. "Really" Marie says looking surprised. "Well I hope you have a nice time here in central" Marie says with a welcoming smile. "Well I have to get going my partner is waiting for me" Marie says. "Yeah me too well it was nice meeting you and I hope I see you around" I say walking away to the locker rooms to change looking down at the white tile work in the hallway as I hear someone drop a pen behind me and everything went black like a light went out. There was nothing but black.
