Chapter: Evolution

Earl's eyes widened in shock as he read the quest notification. He had never killed anything before, let alone a mother and her baby. But the hunger in his stomach reminded him of his dire situation. He needed to eat to survive in this new world.

"I have no choice," he muttered to himself as he took a deep breath and prepared to attack.

He leaped towards the mother hare, his sharp teeth bared and claws ready to strike. The mother hare tried to dodge, but Earl was too quick for her. With a swift bite to the neck, the mother hare fell to the ground, lifeless.

The little hare tried to run away, but Earl chased after it and caught it with his claws. He felt a pang of guilt as he saw the fear in the little hare's eyes, but he knew he had to do it to survive.

Earl's eyes widened with excitement as he saw the additional rewards. The main rewards were not that surprising because he was pretty much expecting them, but the additional award came as a surprise.

He then started eating the mother-and-daughter duo and surprisingly, it was delicious! He felt because he was a beast get had to eat other animals

Earl spent the rest of his day hunting some animals and getting Exp

"Huh!" Earl groaned, exhausted he then looked at his stats

" I guess after level five I would evolve," he said to himself before looking for a nearby cave to spend the night as he was already feeling sleepy

The next day, Earl woke up pretty early and then, he decided to continue hunting

However, he wanted to start hunting bigger prey as he was not getting any Exp from those hares anymore then he decided to hunt bigger animals. Not until he saw a hare with a horn on its head, unlike the other hares he had found till now, the horned Hare was black, and then

" So you are the Fox that's killing my subject?"Earl was shocked that the hare was talking as the other hares he had come across couldn't talk

This...This is an evolved beast Earl said with shock mixed with excitement as he wanted to challenge new stronger opponents was what Earl wanted. But he knew it was gonna be far from easy

Fortunately, the hare was just a basic evolved Hare as it didn't have any overpowered ability

The horned hare charged toward Earl, determined to win the fight. The hare's horns glinted in the sunlight as it lowered its head to ram Earl.

Earl, however, was quick to react. He sidestepped the hare's charge and used his intelligence to anticipate the hare's next move. Earl then darted forward, aiming to bite the hare's hind leg.

The hare tried to shake off Earl, but he held on tight, using his sharp teeth to sink into the hare's flesh. The hare let out a loud screech, but it didn't give up. It kicked and thrashed, trying to dislodge Earl from its leg.

The fight continued, with the hare using its strength to overpower Earl, and Earl using his human intelligence to dodge and bite the hare's weak spots. The hare managed to land a few blows on Earl, but Earl was quick to recover and retaliate.

As the fight wore on, the hare began to tire. Its super strength ability was draining its energy, and Earl was taking advantage of its weakness. Earl darted in and out, biting and clawing at the hare, slowly wearing it down.

Finally, the hare collapsed, exhausted and defeated.

Earl took a deep breath trying to process the information that was given by the system in a goal

First, about the hidden quest, he was so shocked and discovered the system was more powerful and mysterious, and then he decided to be careful to do the needful thing every time to avoid that hidden punishment

Then about the special evolution path Earl became so excited and then decided to go back to his cave and check it out as he needed to get stronger and faster

Here are the evolution paths available and their requirements

1. Celestial Fox: Starlight crystals, moonstones, and a pure heart.

2. Frost Fox: Ice crystals, snowflake obsidian, and a winter spirit.

4. Firefox: Fire opal, dragon's breath, and a fiery spirit.

5. Nature Fox: Healing herbs, enchanted wood, and a nature spirit.

6. Thunder Fox: Lightning quartz, stormy sapphire, and a lightning spirit.

7. Moon Fox: Ocean pearl, moonstone, and a lunar spirit.

8. Dream Fox: Dreamcatcher, psychic crystal, and a dream spirit.

10. Crystal Fox: Crystal shard, diamond dust, and a light spirit.

Transcendental Fox: This evolutionary path is much slower than the Omni Fox as the host will get to evolve into all the evolutionary paths, however, he would only evolve into one of his choices after every evolution.

The Transcendent Fox can grow stronger by continuing to develop its skills and abilities in all areas. This means that the white fox must constantly push its limits and strive for excellence in every aspect of its being. It must continue to gather materials and learn new techniques to enhance its abilities.

To become stronger, the Transcendent Fox could undergo training and practice in each of the evolution paths, honing its skills in each area. For example, it could practice controlling flames to enhance its Firefox abilities or practice communicating with animals and plants to enhance its nature fox abilities.

In addition, the Transcendent Fox could seek out new challenges and adventures to push its limits even further. It could travel to new environments and encounter new creatures, constantly learning and adapting to new situations.

Overall, the key to becoming stronger as a Transcendent Fox is to never stop learning and growing. The white fox must be open to new experiences and willing to take risks to achieve its full potential. With dedication and hard work, the Transcendent Fox can become one of the most powerful creatures in existence.
