"And I was here thinking things couldn't get worse!" Earl an impoverished orphan that didn't have any relatives, was too old for an orphanage, barely had any cloth, on was seen shivering with blood, snot, and sweat. He had fresh wounds on his body and looked like he was just barely hanging unto his life said in agony.

It was just like any other day, Earl began to look for food around until he saw the first thing that made him ecstatic! warm leftovers!!,he saw the waiter of a regular restaurant pour some leftovers into the trash. But something like that could not stop him, right? then he quickly went to the dumpster and carefully took the food, then he started devouring the food.

When he was done, a satisfactory smile crept into his face then he relish the feeling of fullness which he hadn't felt in years.

Unfortunately, such moments only lasted so long, as he saw two approaching cruel-looking men that wore tattered clothes and were gazing at him with hatred-filled eyes.

"Who is this trash that doesn't know where he belongs, I think we should beat him so hard that he will learn to not just eat anywhere he sees food," The smaller looking one said with hatred-filled eyes and it was obvious he was the lackey of the bigger, muscular guy. And then his nightmare began as he was given the beaten of his life. And that was how he ended up in the state he was in.

Then suddenly, his eyes started feeling heavy and blurry, Earl smiled bitterly knowing his inevitable faith "If there is a next life, I don't want to be human! Humans are disgusting, cruel creatures" Earl said his last words on earth as he close his eyes forever… or so he thought.

A cute white fox was seen lying down with his small and compact body resting on the ground. His fur is soft and fluffy, with a pure white color that seems to glow in the moonlight. His eyes are bright blue, with a playful and curious expression that seems to reflect his youthful and carefree nature.

"WHAT!!!??? I AM A FOX?!!, When I said I didn't want to be human I didn't mean fox!!!, I meant something as majestic as a dragon or phoenix or a vampire not just some cute small fox" Earl said with a face mixed with anger, despair, and dissatisfaction.

How would a cute little fox survive again in this thick jungle?!! Earl said then he suddenly remembered the thing he heard inside his head about some system guide.

Is it really what I think it is?! Earl said with a face full of expectations, he remembered reading fantasy books from the dumpster just to clear his boredom and remain sane as he got no one to talk to.

"I guess I am an animal now I will have to hunt for my food from now on," He said with a long sigh then he started looking for food to eat.

"Wait I'm a cub I should have parents' rights," he said but then suddenly he remembered and after some while, he stopped thinking about it.

Then he saw a hare taking munching on some grass and then he didn't know what came over him, He started feeling this urge to pounce on it and devour it.

"Is this the bestial instinct the book was talking about?" he said before starting to walk slowly and stealthily toward the little hare, as it didn't look like an adult. Earl concluded it wasn't an adult yet. When he was about ten feet away from the baby hare, it suddenly noticed him and started to escape. Then he saw a bigger hare and concluded it must be the mother hare.
