A smile crept across Cias's face, ready to face the beast once more. He was nervous but ready, the only thing he could do from now on was do the best that he could to fight this monstrosity. Gathering all of his courage and bravery he took out his spear and walked outside of his shelter. Controlling his breathing to a fine point he slowed his heart rate as much as he could. The mantis was coming towards his location, not at a fast pace per say but at a constant one, never slowing or speeding. The control and balance in the mantis's movements showed a superior level of intelligence compared to most animals in the forest. And thus the two sensed each other, as if fate had intervened, they were about to fight for a second round.

The mantis was angry that he had lost its prey and looked forward to this next shot at a decent meal. The two met face to face for the second time, instinctively he thought to himself (He can't actually think in words by the way) "I can't wait to eat him, he will be delicious". Smacking his "lips'' together he anticipated the taste of a powerful foe. Cias stood defiantly with his chest puffed out, standing in his fighting stance. They were ready for battle, almost like a timer was about to go off 3 2 1 and they were off. The mantis aggressively charged at Cias, creating a divot in the ground from where he once stood. Cias blocked the blow and the ground shook around them like a mini earthquake. A shockwave shook the trees and caused all small living things to leave the area. BLAM BLOW BOOM The attacks exchanged were getting stronger with each assault as they released more and more of their strength as they were getting to full power. Powering up, blow after blow, the environment was slowly starting to change. Finally, at full power the mantis hit Cias with a blow which sent his back about a foot, following up with a top down swipe that got dodged and countered, CRACK, a small crack was found on the mantis.

Scared, the mantis jumped back and healed quickly and "thought" to himself "this guy actually just damaged me, he was weak before, but now he had actually cracked my shell" and even though the crack was small, it proved that through his training that he had become much stronger. And although it worked once, the mantis' mind adapted to it and it wouldn't work again. Although Cias got stronger and smarter, so did the mantis, which was proved by the way that it adapted to battle much like a human would. Once more they charged at each other, Cias diverted the strike and hit him again but the reinforcement from the mantis tanked the blow. SMACK Cias' chest got sliced up a little bit but he healed it up real quick and charged up his next attack which was his spear thrust. CRACK SPLURT the spear pierced the body of the mantis and sent ripples of force throughout his entire body.

Healing the blow, he stopped the blade from coming out, Cias' eyes widened, he jumped back and said ,"Oh my god…". He put his hands up, if he couldn't use his weapon, he'd use his body. The Mantis walked towards Cias, unafraid and intimidating, ready to finish his prey off, in his mind, with no weapon, he could do no damage. And thus he went in for a grab, Cias dodged and gave a punch to the abdomen, head and leg. The mantis was getting infuriated by his nimble movements and swung its arms frantically. Cias stepped back and laughed, noticing the difference in mindset, he gained full confidence of winning this time.

He shot off a few Ki bolts and created a new move on the spot, Art: Punch Bolt, having the same concept as the Spear Bolt but renewed and reinvented into a punch type variation. Although not having the same effect as the Spear Bolt it did do a decent dealing of damage. It both did damage to the Mantis and lodged the spear further into its body making it wince. The creature, realizing that the spear would only do more bad for him, ripped it out, healed his wound and threw it to the ground, not knowing what would happen next. Cias smirked, used Telekinesis to move the spear back to his hand and spoke in an annoying tone ,"Well then, Round two?".
