Massive Improvements

Five and a half months passed since the deans decided to give Shye and the other top freshmen students from other courses the class exemption pass.

He was currently inside the intermediate adventurer zone hunting D- ranked creatures. 

Although there were no events during the past five and a half months that would let him earn loads of points, he was at least grinding the daily quests, regular quests, along with some quests from the Order of the Black Sword's quest board.

Of course, Shye made sure to pick quests that had the same requirements to maximize the rewards that he would get from each completed quest.

*SPURT*

"That should be enough points…"

Shye smiled as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. He then walked towards a safe spot to rest, and check his current status.

Shye nodded in satisfaction after seeing his current stats. Not only was there a massive boost in his attributes, but he also managed to upgrade his skills [Dash Lv.2] and [Stoic Lv.2].

His skills [Power Slash Lv.2], [Dash Lv.2], and [Stoic Lv.2] were the most important ones in his current arsenal since he usually uses these three skills to catch an opponent off guard and slay them with a single powerful hit.

However, Shye noticed that whenever his [Power Slash Lv.2] was on cooldown, he couldn't execute his killing combinations due to the lack of burst-type damaging skills.

As a greatsword user, Shye should overwhelm his opponent with a series of powerful blows so he decided to invest his points and learn two new skills, [Destructive Chop Lv.1] and [Rush Stab Lv.1].

He liked both skills especially [Rush Stab Lv.1] since not only was it a gap closer skill that he could use against fast opponents and opponents who like to keep their distance such as mages and archers, but it was also a lethal skill that would instantly kill an enemy if used properly.

The class exemption pass did indeed let him improve faster since he could freely choose which classes to attend.

For example, he would sit in class and wait for the lesson but as soon as he sees that the lesson would not be beneficial for him, then he could freely leave the class as long as he leaves the classroom respectfully.

Due to this, instead of listening to an entire three-hour lecture about the beginner adventurer zone, he could leave and focus on training instead.

Of course, Shye attends every lesson that is beneficial to him. Due to this arrangement, he was able to improve way faster than he normally would.

The class exemption pass was truly a pleasant surprise given to him by Instructor Fienna and Dean Snowcrest.

Similar things were happening in the other areas of the intermediate adventurer zone.

Siegfried and the other top freshmen students who were given the class exemption pass somehow managed to get their intermediate badges so they go inside the intermediate adventurer zone almost every day to train.

There were even a few times when all six of them formed a party to complete high-difficulty quests.

Due to this, their teamwork and respect for each other slowly grew and by the time they became fourth-year students, their party would be an absolute menace in the Regional Adventurer Academy Competition.

Once he was done checking his status, Shye decided to leave the intermediate adventurer zone to get the rewards for the quests he completed from the society's quest board.

After an hour of walking, Shye arrived at the Order of the Black Sword's headquarters. He then entered and walked towards the counter with the pretty big sister.

"Hello, Senior Emi, here are the quest completion items."

"What? You're done already?"

Senior Emi said with a shocked expression on her face. It hadn't been six hours since Shye accepted all three quests and now he was already done.

Anyone would be shocked at such a fast quest completion time, especially since he was only a freshman student.

After verifying the quest items, Senior Emi gave Shye the appropriate rewards.

"Thanks Senior Emi! I'll be leaving now."

"Likewise! Take Care!"

Once he was done with everything he needed to do regarding his quests, Shye headed towards the food district to purchase snacks for his little sister before returning to the dormitory.

Maia would be taking the Colzen Adventurer Academy entrance exam next year so Shye saved up some points in the system to help her achieve a high rank on the third assessment.
