Class Exemption Pass

Instructor Brodley and the two other instructors hung their heads down after being reprimanded by Dean Snowcrest.

They wanted to accuse Shye of murder but they didn't have any proof so they could only accept the final decision of the dean.

In addition to this, Siegfried Lionheart claimed to have witnessed that Shye narrowly won against the ember tiger so they couldn't think of anything to refute Instructor Fienna's words.

"Moving on to our next agenda, the six freshmen students have started to move on their own earlier than expected. We have to decide whether to give them the class exemption pass now or should we wait until they become third-year students?"

After hearing the next agenda, everyone's faces turned serious except the three instructors who still couldn't accept the final decision of Dean Snowcrest.

It wasn't an overstatement to say that the next agenda would decide the fate of their academy three and a half years later.

Would they remain a mediocre academy? Or will they rise to join the ranks of the top academies in their region?

This is the reason why they had to carefully consider what to do. These freshmen students were the best batch they had in the history of the academy.

If they couldn't capitalize on this chance given to them, then they were doomed to remain a mediocre academy forever.

The reason why this decision was hard for them was because the students were still too young right now so if they overestimated the abilities of the students and let them do whatever they wanted, they might die before they reached their peak potential.

On the other hand, if they wait until they become third-year students before giving them the class exemption pass, they might end up hindering the growth of these young students.

Instructor Fienna decisively took the lead and raised her right hand to give her opinion about the matter.

"Fienna, you may speak."

"If I may be so presumptuous, Your Excellency, I believe we should give the six freshmen students the class exemption pass now."

Instructor Fienna boldly gave her honest opinion.

"Oh? Why do you think so?"

The deans raised their eyebrows in curiosity.

Everyone seemed to be in a dilemma except this young female instructor who immediately decided that it would be better to give the six freshmen students the class exemption pass as early as now.

"If we pamper these students too much, I believe that we would hinder their growth and possibly blow our chance to rise to the top."

"If we wait until they become third-year students before giving them the passes, although they might reach the top 32, or possibly top 16, I believe that they wouldn't be able to get a higher ranking than that.

"However, if we give them the passes now, I believe that they might even be able to get the top spot for our academy."

Everyone's eyes widened after hearing the bold claims of this young female instructor.

Even the deans seemed to have been enticed by the thought of being the best adventurer academy in the region.

However, after just a few seconds, the older instructors suddenly voiced their conservative thoughts.

"Reckless! I know that young people always dream big but I believe that it would be too hard to secure the rank 1 spot against the likes of Eusford, Aslan, and Freia Adventurer Academies. Instead, we should ensure that these six freshmen students make it into the Adventurer Academy Competition!"

"I agree, I believe that we should wait until they become third-year students until we give them the passes."

"I agree!"

"Me too!"

Instructor Fienna's voice was quickly drowned out by the opinions of the conservative instructors.

Some younger instructors thought that Instructor Fienna was right but they were scared to go against the older, veteran instructors.

The four deans were in a dilemma. After hearing everyone's opinions, it was like a cold bucket of water was poured over their heads, waking them up.

They were already daydreaming about being one of the best academies in the region but the voices of the conservative instructors woke them up and made them hesitate.

"I know that I might be the only one here who thinks that we should give them the class exemption passes now but I stand true to my beliefs."

"I believe in the potential of these students, not only are they talented in combat, but they are also wiser compared to our past top students. If we don't even have the guts to take this chance, then how could we be qualified to teach them how to be an adventurer?"

Instructor Fienna's words rubbed many of the veteran instructors the wrong way. They thought that she was simply arrogant and reckless.

However, the hearts of the deans were moved. Indeed, an adventurer must be courageous or they wouldn't amount to anything.

If their academy were conservative every time they have to make such important decisions, then their academy would forever remain mediocre.

This message was not only for the six freshmen students but also for everyone present.

Ever since they've become instructors and deans of the academy, it seems that they've forgotten that they were also adventurers.

After hearing what Fienna said, the deans nodded at each other with decisive looks in their eyes.
