Neihar and all others were worried about condition of Orzala. Because even with a suspicious origin she is one among them. Addition to that she was the most unexperienced silly little girl and everyone was slowly getting drawn towards her innocence.
At the beginning knowing she is the daughter of Adara, made Zesiro feel uncomfortable in her presence but he soon realised his brother's growing affection towards her and her situation where she is kept in dark by her own father. Hence he has turned quite protective towards her.
In the middle of this chaos they forgot the fact of them being in the royal court of Serpent palace alongside some brutally killed bodies of the royal guards.
Some footsteps approaching them alarmed their ears. Saisha hurriedly pressed a serpent head painting on the wall which opened a staircase downwards breaching the heart of the blue aquarium beneath.
"Move fast", Saisha ordered.
Walking down the set of steps opened their eyes to a dark space of royal jail which was smelling like rotten eggs. A small lamp was lit providing sufficient light to lead their way.
Broken iron railings, rusted chains, torn leather whips and splashes of dried old blood designed on the floor which was only visible at the flash of light signified that a place was outlawed for long.
Everyone was coughing due to the dust raising as they walk along. Orzala was still in Neihar's embrace. Not only a man with perfect body proportions but also with a caring heart.
"How much more to go", Avisa questioned. He was feeling sick due to the bad odour around.
"We are here"
It turns out to be a secret hide out Saisha in her childhood days. The wooden toys and all the arrangements makes it a perfect play house for child. But it was more masculine in appearance than the feminine. A small armour which would only fit a boy, used cloths of a boy was in a disarray, lying on the floor.
A wooden couch was also present but three of its legs were broken. After all it has been long ever since a person made a visit to this place. Orzala was laid on the floor. Though she was out of Neihar's embrace, he was not ready to leave her hand.
Neihar expressed his distress, "It has been long. Why is she not awake?"
In this world prolonged period of unconsciousness pushes a person deep into an oblivion from which they can never return back.
"She will be fine brother", Sakda
"She is just exhausted", Yathin
"Don't worry yourself", Zesiro
Avisa surprised with his action, he abruptly splashed some water or I say a tide over Orzala's face which woke her up with heavy breathing as if she was about to be drowned in a flood.
"Avisa", Neihar was ready to through his hands but paused himself finding Orzala wide-awake.
"Are you allright?", clearly a word of concern from Neihar.
"I am good"
Saisha and Mekhala were also worried and relieved to see her in good condition. They also have initiate considering Orzala as their little sister.
Sakda and Yathin are always kind and respect everyone. Avisa is exception in case of Sakda. He has some kind of issues.
As Orzala seems exhausted they dropped the idea of interrogating her about her connections with Asura for now.
Rather they decided to ask Sakda about his father and the soul weapons. Sakda started explaining the things.
My father was a great wizard and an excellent swordsmith named Ahiga. As a child he was very curious of a witch craft of binding soul to weapons. It was a forbidden technique because using that would deplete one's lifespan by hundred days.
Hardly few men in the world reach that level but unfortunately my father was the only left at that time. Soul bound weapons were so useful in expanding the horizon of warrior skills. Many insisted to offer their life savings to convince my father to make one but he always rejected their offer.
Adara the king of Alaka approached my father along with a great sage who wished to prepare soul bound weapons for some great cause. They created seven such weapons. I don't know how those weapons reached your hands but they are prepared at the cost of my father's life. Make sure to keep them safe.
"But how did you end up at Wakuba's place?!", Zesiro questioned.
After that incidence somehow the rumour spread about soul bound weapons and one visitor was Demon Lord Kalhar. He captivated my father and only returned his lifeless body without head. I was finding Wakuba to reach Kalhar but he turned out to be a traitor.
My heart burns with the taught I was unable of giving him the last respect. I found out that the heads of every major enemy conquered by Kalhar hangs in a chamber of his crystal palace. I need my father's head back to fullfill his final rights so his soul rests in peace. Sakda voiced with agony.
The pain in his eyes was clearly seen. Losing his father and unable to see him for the last time.
Everyone hearing the story was now in a new dilemma.
"How did they got hands on their weapon?"
But with every unfolding story the desire of the protectors to end Kalhar was getting firm so the bond between them.
Enemies enemy is a friend.
It seems I am getting more interested in writing nowdays.
