Chapter 7- Learning

The following day, let's just say i wondered off. Hehe

I explored the mansion. I was still on a break from reading so i didn't go to the library this time. I first explored the house's surrounding. There was a huge garden and a driveway by the opposite sides of the house and a swimming pool at the back of the house and i could only see that from the topmost room's window. After my little discovery, I found myself in front of the door to a room. I took a deep breath to cool my temper, knocked on the door, opened it and walked in

If y'all are wondering why i didn't wait for the person to reply or say 'come in', let's just say i didn't feel like it

I went into the room, closed the door behind me and sat on the bed waiting for HIM to come out of the bathroom. He was done and he was just cleaning up. I could tell with my powers. Finally, not too long, he came out fully dressed with the same clothes of yesterday using a towel to clean his hair, i mean he really wasn't doing anything rather walking around and making sure everyone is safe, so i understand

He finally noticed me and almost dropped his towel. "What are you doing here?" Winston asked me obviously not too happy with my presence

"Hello to you too" I said with a very wide smile. "You shouldn't be rude to guests, nobody taught you that? What a pity and i thought u had more sense since you were the bodyguard of the prince but i guess i was wrong. You lack that particular sense" I said while playing around with my hair. "I'll repeat myself. What are you doing here?". I stopped playing around with my hair and looked straight up at him. "It's a funny question actually a very silly one but where is Tyler's room?"

I know why I'm asking. I couldn't even use my superhearing to track his footsteps which is odd. Maybe he could silence his footsteps or something because actually, I'm curious

"The young master isn't around. He left for some duties he had to attend to, so, you have to wait to see him. So now, can you please leave my room?"

Before i could even reply to that, he shoved me out and slammed the door behind me. What a rude piece of shit. What an ungrateful thing called a werewolf. How come the only nice person in this house was Tyler's mum, the rest of them are just...

...Argh!!

I just left there still upset and went to the pool side. Please don't ask me why I'm obsess with pools. I just feel calm when i look at water especially the ocean or any large body of water. The calm ripples and disturbing waves but since it's just a pool, i could make my own ripples

I laid on my stomach by the poolside and started splashing the water. Already lost in the moment, i didn't notice someone was standing behind me

"Good morning, sweetheart" Tyler's mum said as she approached me with a polite smile. This time she was wearing a black sleeveless short ball gown with feathers on the edges and a black block-heel. She also had a black glittering purse wrapped around her waist. She looked more of a princess than a queen

"Good morning" I said rapidly getting up and cleaning up. She smiled and went to the other end of the pool, where there was a picnic set up. "You coming?" She asked as she tilted her face to the side, "Yes ma" I ran towards the queen who was already bringing out some things from the basket and i joined her

"At first, i didn't know where to do the picnic whether in the garden or by the pool but i think i made the right guess doing it here" She narrated as she brought out the last thing from the basket and put the basket aside. "Care to join me?"

At first, i didn't know if i should join just like that or not but the queen gave me a very caring and loving expression which convinced me and i said "Sure thing" and sat down beside her

She served me some sandwiches and home made juice which tasted amazing

"So, do you like my cooking?" She said what?!

"You made all this?"

"Of course i did. I always make the first meals for any of my guests personally. It makes everything feel warm and i also love cooking"

"That's amazing. Both your cooking and you. You seem like an awesome queen and mother. I never actually got so much attention from my mother. She was mostly never around which hurt at first but i got over it and i also had my big sis there for me. I miss home actually. I miss my family and friends even though i still hate them for what they did to me". I was sad about it but then felt an hand around me. "My dear, we all have to do the things we don't want to do. You and Tyler are actually alike you know. You kinda remind me of him. You both like travelling, you both like adventures, you both have great hearings and also, no matter how far away you are from home, you both always remember where you came from. My dear, you are following your heart and there is no crime in doing that" She caressed my cheek before looking ahead. "You know, it's not easy being a royal. The responsibilities keep piling up and never stop. I have to rule my packs and also take care of them. Tyler's dad was always there for me but he left our world right before the war between the worlds. He loved travelling and i didn't mind that, that's actually where Tyler got his love for travelling from. Our world didn't want to risk any foreigners running to our world during the war, so they blocked the portals and since then, I've not seen Tristan again". She was obviously sad after that story but i then changed the topic to the first i thought of

"You started ruling when you were a teen?". I know, not the smartest topic but i was curious

" No darling, i started ruling when i was 100"

Wait what?! She is over a hundred. I guess she could understand my expression because she explained

"We monsters can leave for a very long time. Vampires are the only known and proved immortals, the rest of us live for more than 2000 years. And FYI, I'm not 130, I'm actually 130 with an extra zero" She winked and left me with an outermost level of shock. Wow, i guess I'm learning a lot about werewolves now
