As Leon awoke from unconsciousness, he found himself in a luxurious room. Sitting up from the bed, he looked around. The room was the most opulent he had ever seen in his entire life. As he scanned his surroundings, he noticed a maid standing quietly at the side of the bed. He hadn't even realized she was there.
He asked her directly, "How long have I been unconscious?"
The maid replied, "You have been passed out for two days."
Hearing this, Leon felt a strange sense of happiness, though he couldn't quite understand why. He got up from the bed and walked towards the mirror in the room. As he approached it, he saw red circles under his eyes. His face was unshaved, but his beard hair was short, as if it didn't want to grow any further. He looked like a 35-year-old man who had been worn down by the stresses of office work and had come home to see his family.
Thinking of family brought back memories of his old home, his happy moments, and his regrets. He swore to himself that he would not make the same mistakes again in this lifetime. Looking down, he realized that his clothes had been changed by someone. His old clothes had been replaced by a white outfit. He wondered who had changed his clothes.
The maid, observing Leon's expression, spoke up, "Sir Leon, your old clothes were torn apart in the battle you were in. When you were unconscious, I was the one who changed your clothes."
Embarrassed, Leon realized the maid was quite young, almost in her teens. The maid continued, sensing his discomfort, "Don't worry. I am older than I look. If you think I am a teenager, you are wrong. I am a mix of dark elf and human, so I look much younger than normal. My actual age is about 2,000 years old."
Leon felt even more embarrassed. He couldn't tell her that he was a million-year-bastard. He managed to say, "Okay, thank you for changing my clothes," in an awkward tone.
As he pondered, he spoke to the ceiling, "Ceil, didn't you tell me that I am close to becoming a true God? But now Flora and her grandfather are telling me that I am an incomplete god," he asked suspiciously.
Ceil answered in a robotic voice, "Yes."
Angered by the response, Leon clenched his fists but let it go. He asked Ceil another question, "Do you know any method that can turn me into a complete God?"
Ceil replied, "No, there is no technique that can turn an incomplete god into a complete God, not in my era."
Hearing this, Leon muttered, "So you are of no use." He felt a presence, almost a woman's anger as if she was saying, "You are useless, hump."
Leon asked Ceil, "Can you tell me about the ability Flora talked about?"
Ceil, waiting for this moment, began to explain, "You see, you can acquire an ability when you become a God or when you practice something and master it like sword and magic types. You acquire a skill from the world system."
Leon asked, "So all of them have only one skill, right?"
Ceil responded, "No and yes. You can have more than one skill or a single skill that can perform multiple abilities."
Leon, not understanding, asked, "What do you mean by that?"
Ceil explained, "When you become a complete God and acquire a skill, you will understand. For now, you already have your race's ability, like blood control. In that form, you can control your blood to make things as hard as rocks or as thin as clothes. That ability can be used in many ways."
Leon understand some thing about skill and how to acquire one
As they talked, Arnold entered the room after knocking three times. Leon called him in. Arnold bowed slightly and spoke to Leon, "Sir Leon, you seem to be alright. Lady Flora and Master Walter are waiting for your arrival. If you need more time, we will wait."
Leon nodded and said, "Don't worry, I am fine. I will come and meet Lady Flora and Sir Walter."
Arnold began to show him the way to a teleportation device installed in front of the mansion. As they reached the site, Leon wondered and asked Arnold, "Sir Arnold, where are we going now?"
Arnold, with an apologetic tone, replied, "I am sorry, Leon. I forgot to inform you that we are going to the site where you will become a complete God."
Leon asked, "Site? What site?"
Arnold answered, "It's an old battlefield. You will understand when we get there."
They stepped onto the teleportation circle, and Arnold activated it. Leon felt as if he was being sucked inside. Before he could say stop, he was already in the old battlefield. Looking around, he saw Arnold, who gestured, "Sir Leon, this way."
Arnold began to lead him to the place where the ritual to become a complete God would be held.
