The White realm.
A man clothed in white was seated on a high throne, his gaze was firm, and his skin shone just like the light, he was handsome beyond words. "She is falling into darkness; her hands are covered in blood. Will you do nothing?" another man dressed in white standing before him asked.
"Felix, do not let your emotions rule you. i am love, and love covers a multitude of sins," the man on the throne said.
"Gabriel, her hands are covered with blood; although she has yet to touch the innocent, it is only a matter of time. Would you not try to stop her?" Felix asked. He was the god of fate who visited Loius in the dark realm.
"you are the god of fate; have you forgotten that some things are fated. Until she is covered in darkness, she would never appreciate light; rest assured I would not lose to Louis," Gabriel could tell what the man was most worried about.
"Louis is not playing fair, i will turn the will of fate, make her experience a little light," although Felix understood Gabriel, yet he remained anxious.
"You are not allowed to lift a finger; you will keep your words, least Louis cry of injustice," Gabriel forbids him.
"Does he even have the right to cry? He is playing tricks; I heard the god of fortune and wealth is on his side. Even the god of death who should be blind supports him," Felix was bitter as he said these words.
"it is Louis's call to play tricks and lie; if we do the same, how can I still condemn him? Go rest; I will not lose," Gabriel assured him again. Felix was reluctant, but in the end, he could only obey him. since he had decided to place his bet on Gabriel, he had to remain faithful.
The palace of wealth and fortune.
"I placed my bet on you; why are you not killing her?" the God of fortune asked Louis, who had come to visit.
"you have no will of your own, I owe you no explanation" Louis replied, he hated being questioned the most.
"then should I withdraw my hands so that she would forsake you?" the god of fortune asked. He may not be as powerful as the other gods, but he would never allow Louis to look down on him.
"the god of death can not touch her; the seal of the Almighty has been placed on her to ensure the battle is fair," Louis had no choice but to explain, he hate to mention the Almighty as this only reveals his weakness. It is not that he was scared of the threat, but he wanted to ask a favour of the god of fortune.
"what do you want?" the god of fortune was not fooled.
"the god of beauty is your sister, I want her on my side," Louis answered. He did not feel embarrassed that his plans were exposed.
"find her yourself; she has become close to the god of fate recently," the god of fortune frowned, one could tell that he was not happy with his sister.
"tell me where I can find her?" Louis asked. He seemed to have expected this outcome.
"Earth, she is on a mission for the god of fate,"
....
Iyare opened her eyes, but the light in the room forced her to shut them back. She felt frail, like her body no longer belonged to her. her eyes felt heavy like she has been sleeping for a long time, in her sleep she had a long strange dream.
The memories of her dreams came back like running water. In that dream, she had a childhood filled with love. Her mother and that man were nice to her. They took care of her like she was their daughter.
She later found out they were not her parents. She meets Mr Onosa in that dream. The dream was bizarre. Mr Onosa taught her a lot about his company before his death. 'What a strange dream,' Iyare thought and tried to open her eyes again. This time she raised her hands to block the sunlight.
She has always wished she had a lovely family and got a childhood like the one in her dream, but the reality is harsh.
She noticed she felt frail. 'What's wrong with me?' Iyare wondered, trying to sit up.
"You are awake," she heard a voice. "Miss, Please ley down. I will call the doctor to check on you," the person said.
Iyare lay back on her back; she could not stand up anyway. "What happened to me," she asked the woman in the room. "I am not sure; all I know is you went unconscious", the lady replied.
Now that Iyare had listened closely, she was able to recognise the voice. It belonged to Merry.
"Help me sit up," Iyare said. The last thing she remembered was being in the torture room; then, darkness suddenly hit her. Merry adjusted the pillow to help make her comfortable as she helped her sit on the bed.
"I want water," Iyare requested, and Merry poured some from the nightstand for her. Iyare drank half the content before handing the cup back to her. "How long have I been unconscious?" She asked.
"seven days madam," Merry replied. Iyare was shocked. Why did she fall unconscious all of a sudden, she wondered. seven days were not so long but considering the things she needed to read before Friday. It felt like a long time to her. "Call Sam and Shelley over," Iyare told Merry, who nodded her head before stepping out of the room.
Twenty minutes later, a doctor came to check on her. Iyare already realised she was in her room. After the doctor examined her, he frowned his brows.
Iyare's case was very strange, the girl was not waking up, but it looked like she was sleeping. He could not find anything wrong with her. She was breathing normally, so there was no need for life support. "can someone be so tired that they sleep for seven days?" he wondered.
He thought that when she woke up, he might get some cues, but she was fine, just weak. "Make her something nice to eat," the doctor said. Then wrote down some food that should be added to her meal before stepping out.
Sam has waited for the doctor to check her. He has refused to answer any of her questions for the past twenty minutes. He wanted the doctor to confirm what was wrong with her.
"So, can you answer me now?" Iyare asked after the doctor left the room. She was slightly irritated by his refusal to answer her questions. Even if she knew he was just worried about her.
"Nothing new has happened. Charles apparently got arrested, but he buried the news about it from the media and public. I guess he is trying to protect his reputation. Peter was able to track Justin, and hopefully, he will be with us by the end of today," Sam reported.
Iyare nodded her head just in time for Shelley to walk in. "How are you feeling?" she asked, sitting beside Iyare on the bed.
"I am okay," Iyare replied.
"I will get Merry to bring your food into the room," Sam excused himself.
"What's going on in the company?" Iyare asked. she was worried that her absence for a few days would have created new problems for her.
"Everything is running smoothly. The news about your condition was kept secret. Sam informed me about the attack so we could not let the enemy know you were down. So I just kept planning for the staff meeting, hoping you would wake up soon. Everything is going great, except you have a lot of documents to review and sign," Shelley explained, smiling.
"Oh! Adrian took his father's position in the company. You know he is qualified to do that. He will be managing his father's shares for now," Shelley said.
"When did he join?" Iyare asked. she was not suprised that he had joined the company; after all, he was Charles's only son.
"Officially, he joined today," Shelley replied. Iyare nodded and was about to relax when the thought<msreadoutspan class="msreadout-line-highlight msreadout-inactive-highlight"> of Amina flashed into her <msreadoutspan class="msreadout-word-highlight">mind</msreadoutspan>.</msreadoutspan>
