Saw stars

Cece felt disappointed when she noticed the figure by the door was Abel. "I have gotten a location," Abel announces.

Cece felt a strange fear when she heard Abel's statement. 'What location was he talking about?' she wondered.' Were they going to take them somewhere? Or maybe they were tracking someone, but Who?'

"Stop her bleeding," Sam instructed Andrew, pointing to Cece's bleeding face. They have to keep them alive until they get all the vital information they need from them. Josephine and Cece sigh in relief, seeing that their torture was taking a break.

"Let's talk in the other room," Sam said. And they all walked out, locking the door behind them.

As soon as they left, Cece looked around the room for a way of escape. There was no window in the room Cece discovered, which made her feel disappointed again. Josephine did not bother to join her in the search. She knew it was impossible to escape wherever they were currently without the help of someone.

Their hands were tied to the chair; even if they were enough sharp objects in the room to cut themselves loose, they could not reach them. Since it was impossible to move the huge chairs, they were tied against.

In the other room, Sam frowned his brows when he saw the location on the screen. "Who owns that property?" Iyare asked, pointing to the screen.

"I have been trying to get that information, but for some reason, it is classified," Abel answered.

"Let's send some spies to visit the location; maybe they will be able to get some important information," Shelley suggested.

Everyone in the room nodded in agreement except Sam. He knew who owns of that property and he was shocked to see it on the screen.

He had accompanied his late boss there once, three years ago, to visit the owner, but he was sure of the location and property. This was because it was a hidden villa, and Sam felt it could be a safe place in an unpredictable situation.

Everyone in the room turned their attention to Sam, noticing he was not saying anything. He was In a daze, lost in his thoughts.

"What do you say, boss?" Abel asked, snapping Sam out of his trance. "There is no need for that," Sam answered. He had heard their discussion even if it felt far away.

Iyare was the one who frowned her brows this time. 'What did he mean by, there will be no need for that? How else do we get more cues?' Iyare asked herself as she doubted if Sam was worthy.

"I know the property owner," he announced when he saw the confused look on their face.

"Who owns it?" Iyare asked immediately. She guessed it belonged to Mr Charles, seeing the expression on Sam's face, but she needed confirmation.

"It belongs to Mr Charles," Sam said with a hint of disappointment in his voice. He was not disappointed by the fact that Mr Charles was a traitor. He knew the world was filled with greedy, ungrateful people like Charles. He was disappointed at himself for trusting blindly again.

If Shelley had not spoken up earlier, he would have contacted Mr Charles for help already. 'I am so stupid,' he cursed himself in his head.

The room fell into pin-drop silence. Andrew and Abel were both dazed by this revelation. Iyare just nodded her head since her doubts were confirmed. Shelley just took in the expression on everyone's face. She knew Charles was engaged in many under-table deals, so she was not surprised. In fact, She was sure that Mr Charles was involved from the very beginning.

"You sound disappointed to have found out the truth," Iyare commented, looking at the expression on Sam's face.

She wonders how her father would look if he were alive to discover everything his buddy Charles has done to him behind his back.

"Yes, I am disappointed at myself, for trusting so blindly again, after my experience," Sam answered honestly.

He felt this was an excellent time to share his thoughts honestly. Since he was in the room of like minds, he was unsure if he could trust Shelley but wanted to give her a chance since she seemed sincere to him.

" I think my hunch was right from the very beginning," Sam stated after a short pause.

"What hunch!" Iyare asked, becoming curious.

"When I first became your father's employee, I suspected something was happening between Cece and Charles. I have noticed them on countless occasions behaving improperly with each other.

I was never quite sure if I was overthinking things or if my hunch was correct. Since I never got any evidence, I could not act based on my suspicion.

As time passed, I convinced myself that I was overthinking things since Charles has a friendly personality. I totally ignored what I was seeing.

I trusted him, just the way my boss trusted him. When we found your dad's lifeless body in the room, I had a hunch that his death was not natural," Sam revealed his thoughts without holding back

" What do you mean not natural? He suffered a heart attack, " Abel reminded Sam. He did not want to imagine that their late boss was murdered. Iyare looked at Able and the others to see their reaction.

" I know, that was what the doctor said, but when I look at the test results of the coffee today, I started having the same feeling," Sam explained himself. Iyare nods in agreement.

"I even foolishly told Charles about my hunch; he assured me that the doctor did a complete check on Mr Onasa, and he died of a heart attack. The Doctor was also someone close to Boss, so I suppressed my suspicion," Sam stated.

He immediately played the record from Cece's bathroom. Everybody listened to it again. With the new information, it was easy to notice from Cece's voice that she seemed to be talking to someone she was very close to, like a lover. Especially her last question. The voice and tone were very suggestive.

The room fell into a pin drop silent again. Iyare tightened her fist; her eyes turned red as if something possessed her. She was angry, and everyone in the room noticed her murderous grin.

She turned her face to look at the scene displaying the torture room and saw Cece looking around the room. That bitch poisoned her father, she thought. Indeed, she never met the man, but it was Charles and that woman's fault.

If he had not died shortly after he found her, maybe he could have found the courage to approach her in the future, but these selfish people took that away from her.

"Turn off the cameras," Iyare instructed, looking at the scene. Her voice sounded cold and frightening. She could not allow even the most negligible evidence of what she was about to do to exist. As long as their footage was not recorded, it can never appear.

Abel immediately compiled and turned off the camera. Iyare walked back to the room, and Sam and Co instantly followed her behind.

Cece immediately bowed her head when she heard the approaching steps. Josephine looked at the door in horror, knowing they would continue with the torture.

Iyare walked directly to Cece and gave her a resounding slap across her face. Cece screams in pain.

The cut from the blade still hurt, so getting slapped on the face with those injuries was excruciating. Cece never thought a slap could hurt that much. She could swear she saw stars.

"Do you want to hear a story?" Iyare asked. She looked at Cece like an old woman with many stories to tell.

Sam and the rest were taken aback when they saw the sudden transformation. 'What story did she want to tell?' They wondered. Before they could put their thoughts together, another slap was heard in the room.

'Do you want to hear a story?' Iyare asked again. Cece unintentionally nodded her head. A tear ran down her eyes with a running nose.

She was practically shaking, her face was bleeding again, and the drops of tears on her open injuries was torture to her. Iyare's ten fingers could be seen clearly on her delicate face, which has lost all colour and beauty.

"Good," Iyare sneer. She was pleased with Cece's reaction. The look of horror she saw in Cece's eyes was quite satisfying.

Cece was shocked, 'what kind of story did Iyare want to tell?' She thought they were back to continue questioning her. 'Why do I have to listen to a story?' Cece asked herself as the bad notion in her heart increased.

'What kind of trick were they playing?' Cece gathered her courage together to look at Iyare, but a chill ran through her spine when she saw Iyare's bloodshot eyes, looking like they could murder her at any moment.

Cece felt the cold hand of fear embarrassing her. She has never been this scared just by looking at a person. She used to think Charles turned into a beast when angry, but the lady before her looked like a demon.

Unfortunately for her, she was right. Iyare was no longer in control of herself. Something has possessed her. She had already made a deal with Louis, which had to be sealed.

Cece took a deep breath to put her emotions at bay. Of course, she believes Iyare will not kill her since she was their lead to uncovering her enemy.
