Chapter 48

"Now Albus, I want you to give Harry the wand and test if he is the owner of it or not."

"I can't Minerva, it holds large power and I don't think Harry is ready for it."

Dumbledore tries to reject the idea of handing the elder wand to him because of the risk of losing ownership of it.

"Dumbledore, I want you to do as Mr. Lovegood says. If it belongs to me, then it should be with me and not you. I am not ready, I think you forgot about Quirrell in the first year and Basilisk last year."

Now Dumbledore doesn't know what to say, he just tries to hold onto the wand but he doesn't know if it is going to be successful after seeing his others try to convince him which all goes against the result he desired.

When Xenophilius see the expression on Dumbledore's face, he knows that the headmaster doesn't want to give Harry the wand. Xenophilius then remember a spell that helps Harry to prove his right over the wand.

"I think you use 'Accio' while thinking of your heirloom present in the room."

"I will try it."

Dumbledore didn't believe that Harry can perform the spell, so he is carefree about it. Not even Dumbledore but also Snape and McGonagall believe that he can perform the spell as it is the advanced level spell that they have yet to learn.

But when McGonagall saw the expressions of all the girls, who are very relaxed without a hint of any type of stress on it. She also believes that he can do that spell, as she knows the nature of Hermione Granger her favorite student who likes to read the spells before they are even taught in the classes.

"Accio"

(A/N - The spell is changed slightly. I modified it so that they can teleport objects to them if they belong to them.)

Suddenly the light flash from Harry's wand and the elder wand disappear from Dumbledore's hand and appear in his hand.

Harry learns this spell which is one of the spells he learned from Remus when they are learning in Potter Manor to prepare themselves for potential danger.

When Harry gets his hand on the elder wand, he just feels that it is a part of his body but there is still something off about the wand as there is something wrong with it. He remembers the first time he went to the Ollivander's shop for choosing his wand, he then lift the elder wand and perform the spell.

"Lumos"

A small beam of light shines from the end of the wand which proves that he is compatible with the wand. He is feeling that it is the part of her body and the compatibility with this wand is higher than his current wand.

Dumbledore comes forward and took from Harry's hand as he is not believing that Harry can use the elder wand which should be not possible. When he takes back the wand and tried to use the spell, there is no reaction to the spell.

He is not believing and tries many spells but the result is the same. He is not able to fire any spell from the wand. He is also not feeling any connection with the wand which he feel before.

"As I said before, Mr. Potter is the owner of the wand. Now you are not able to use the wand as you lose your control of it."

Dumbledore wants to deny it but he can't. He loses his control over the wand and has to give the wand to Harry as it now belongs to him. It is not worth even putting it in charms or wards to protect it because the elder wand neglects them when it is called by its owner.

Dumbledore then handover the wand back to Harry as he can't do anything about it, after losing control of the wand, the wand is nothing but a useless stick that can't be used to perform any spells.

When Harry touches the wand again the light flashes from the wand but this time the light is strong compared to before when he uses Lumos. Suddenly everyone froze out and Harry see a figure in it, and he know pretty well who the figure is as he met with her before a couple of times.

"How are you doing, Lady Death."

"I am fine Mr. Potter."

It is Lady death who comes from the light and he already guesses the reason. It is about the elder wand as she appears as soon as he took control over the wand.

"You did a very good job. I thought it will take you more time to take the elder wand but you did it before I even tell about it."

"Thank you Lady Death, but it is not possible without the help of others."

"I know, Xenophilius Lovegood is quite knowledgeable in these things, I insist you learn some of his skills as it is going to be helpful for you in the future for your fight against Riddle."

He nodded at her words, and after seeing the demonstration of his knowledge he is excited to learn it, he is going to ask him to teach him even if she didn't ask him to.
