Chapter 49

"How do you feel with this wand in your hand?"

"It feels like it is part of my hand, but there is also something off about it. I don't know how to describe it, but there is something still missing."

Death then lifts her hand, and the elder wand starts to levitate towards her from his hand. When she has the wand in her hand, she speaks.

"I made the Elder wand, which is the strongest wand, but it is still missing the main component in it."

Harry wants to ask what the main component she is talking about is. But his focus shifted as he watched his wand levitating from his pocket and going towards her like before. He also felt the pain in his hand, When he looked at his hand he saw a small cut on his finger and a couple of blood drops coming out from it.

Then suddenly, another flash occurs and the two wands from her hand vanish from her hand and the new wand is there.

She then hands the new wand to him and tells him to try it.

"Lumos"

A bright light comes out of the tip of the wand. He feels the feeling from this wand is better compared to the elder wand or his previous wand.

"I think now you are not experiencing that strange feeling like before."

"Yes, that strange feeling is just gone. Can you tell me what you do and what is the main component you are talking about?"

"The main component of this wand is its core. The core in the elder wand is Thestral hair, which makes it stronger, but I added the phoenix feather which is in your previous wand and to stable the core which becomes unstable, I added your blood which has the property to hold both, and now only you can use this wand."

Harry is just confused as he doesn't know about the wand lore, so he just thanks her.

"Thank you, Lady Death, you helped me quite a lot and I don't know what to do to repay."

"For you to pay me, you just have to do the task to repay, and also finally, I have permission to speak more about the task."

Harry then completely shifted his focus on Lady Death.

"You have to defeat Voldemort as the faith of the wizarding world is dependent on it. You know, he created Horcrux, and it was impossible to kill him without destroying them before. I can't tell you the position of the Horcrux as they are hidden from me, so I can't destroy them, but there is one I can tell you. I located the position of the Gaunt ring, which is located in the Gaunt Shack. When you take the ring, don't destroy it and take it to the Gringotts to remove it. Goblins can remove the curse without destroying the ring."

"But why you can't destroy it yourself?"

"I am not allowed to use my power directly as it can destroy more than just his soul. My power can destroy the whole of Britain, magical and muggle."

Harry is shocked and frightened when he hears that. When Lady Death saw the expression, she chuckled, which made him more surprised as it was the first time he had heard her smile.

"Don't look at me with that expression, I am capable of smiling."

"I am sorry, I just"

"You don't have to explain it, this is the norm for me as I rarely laugh. But now let me tell you more about Gaunt's ring."

She then started to tell him about Gaunt's ring.

"The Gaunt family are the descendants of Cadmus Peverell, who had the Resurrection Stone which he hid in the Gaunt ring. I can find the position of the ring just because I can feel the hollows, and I want you to remove the soul as soon as possible. I don't want my sacred item to be used as someone's soul container."

When he heard that the ring contains the resurrection stone, his first thought was to bring back his parents, which Lady Death sensed from him easily.

"I will tell you that once the soul spends some time in limbo, they are not the same again as their brain has started to change and if you bring them back it is not good for them or you. Cadmus Peverell did the same mistake and paid the price for it and I don't want you to repeat the same mistake."

Harry then started to control his emotion, but he can't do it. He then thinks that he will let his parents decide about it when he returns to Potter Manor.

Lady Death then tells him one last thing before she disappears.

"Remember that defeating Voldemort is just the starting point."

When she says that the light fades away, and everything goes normal. Harry wants to ask her what she means, but it's already late as she is already gone.
