~ ELIA ~
They lay quietly on their sides, Elia's back curled into his chest, her very skin thrumming with the intensity of her orgasms. Reth's arm was wrapped tightly around her, his forearm cradled between her thighs and stomach, his hand curved around to hold some of the weight of her belly—he knew how her back ached. His lips rested, full and soft at her neck, his breath fluttering in her hair.
Elia felt happier than she had in months.
With a soft smile, she let herself follow Reth into sleep.
She didn't know how long they rested, but when she woke she could tell from Reth's breathing that he was already awake. The cave was dark, because they'd never lit the lanterns. Not that it mattered. With her Anima sight now, she didn't need the warm glow to make out the furniture in the room, or Reth's thick arm, still slung over her side and cradling her belly.
"You're awake," she croaked. "You should have woken me."
