Chapter 36 : Trip

"Not necessarily but yes. She died while I was still holding her hands. I could feel as the warm feeling faded away and it turned cold. That was the moment everything faded away" Lianne said. She glanced at her hands as though remembering that experience.

They walked for a couple of moments before Jordy spoke. "This seems like a good spot for painting? Do you want to paint?"

She was about to speak before looking at him with a questioning gaze "when did you find out so much about me?"

"You're friends told me"

"My friends seem to tell you a lot about me. What else did they say?" She asked cocking a brow.

"Nothing much. Apart from painting, they told me that you had quite an exquisite taste. They told me I'd have to find out the rest for myself." He said.

"Nah I don't feel like painting."

They walked around talking, laughing and joking before deciding to go back to the base. Jordy went upstairs to his room but Lianne decided to practice a bit and that was when the guys took it as an opportunity.

"Lianne, what do you think about going to Canada on an all expense paid trip?" Ricardo asked

"Hmmm. It's not bad but I'd prefer not travelling at all" she said shocking the guys who had thought she would jump in excitement hearing it.

"What? Why?" Alex asked

"Because I don't like travelling by air unless necessary and there's no way you expect me to sit for hours in a car all because of a road trip." Lianne said in a matter of fact tone.

"But your dad said you flew a helicopter" Zac said

"Yeah because it was necessary" Lianne said.

"C'mon you're our last hope." Kai said

"What do you mean by that?" Lianne asked.

"We already know Jordy would refuse so we came to you hoping that you'll convince him" Dami confessed

"What makes you think he'll agree to me?" Lianne asked

"C'mon we all know that Jordy would listen to you if you ask him" Alex said in a matter of fact tone.

"I personally think that if he already refused you guys then he's response to me will be the same" Lianne said. Her subconscious didn't agree with her 'you know that isn't true' but her stubborn side wouldn't listen.

"Fine then. What do you have to lose by asking him? I'm 100% sure Jordy's going to say yes to you. You know own I'm starting to feel like Jordy has a crush on you" Alex said making Lianne scoff before agreeing to their request.

"Fine I'll ask him but don't blame me if he refuses"

She walked up to Jordy's room and placed a light knock on it.

Meanwhile Jordy who had been on a call with his mom heard the knock and immediately knew she was the one. He sprang to his feet and hurried towards the door forgetting about the question his mom had just asked him.

"Uhm are you busy?" Lianne said and Jordy's mom decided to make her presence known.

"Jordy, is that a girls voice I heard? Is she your girlfriend? I want to meet her soon. Bring her to the house" his mom said before hanging up on the call.

Jordy flashed her a small smile before replying

"No I'm not busy"

"Are you okay?" He asked noticing the slight hesitation. Lianne who had been so confident earlier was now nervous to ask him.

"Do you want to ask me a question?" He asked.

Lianne nodded and said "I think Canada is an amazing place for vacation and the guys are really excited about it..." Lianne paused when she noticed the narrowing of his gaze on her. He could tell how she got this idea already.

"Did the guys ask you to do this?" Jordy asked suspiciously.

"Yes. Do you want to go?" She asked in a small voice.

"Do you?" Jordy asked with a calm and gentle gaze making Lianne's heart flutter in her chest.she was sure that if Jordy listened carefully, he would be able to hear her heart beating wildly.

"I... I don't think it's a bad idea" Lianne stuttered as she tried to calm her racing heart while the sides of Jordy's lips couldn't help twisting into a grin.

"Then I don't think it's a bad idea either. Tell the guys that we're leaving tomorrow morning"

"Okay" she said and turned to leave but Jordy grabbed her hand to stop her.

"Is something wrong?"
