Chapter 35: Holding hands

Lianne got Jordy a mask as she had already been wearing hers since they left the base to avoid being recognised by any of the fans they were bound to meet on their date. They had agreed to keep their relationship a secret since it wasn't yet official. Jordy had promised himself to make Lianne his girlfriend but that didn't mean he planned to tell her who he truly was. Nevertheless, he would do everything within his power to make her his.

They got a place with dim lighting to avoid attention and being spotted by fans. Lianne didn't want to risk anything so she was being extra careful.

Few minutes into the movie, Lianne realised that a couple moved in front of them and Lianne was able to recognise them as the couple from earlier who took the puppy before Lianne could and having a closer look at the guy, Lianne knew she had seen him from somewhere but she couldn't place a finger on it. She decided to return her attention to the movie and she loved the movie.

The couple left before the movie could end and Lianne glanced at the my guy once more before returning her attention to the movie.

"Do you love the movie because it's good or because your male god is in it?" Jordy asked after they had left the room and hoped it was the former but Lianne shocked him by saying "I think it's the second one or maybe it's both" Lianne said and glanced to see Jordy's expression. She burst I to laughter seeing how red his face was and she guessed he was jealous. 

"I'm just joking. Although, my male god being there made it good, I like the movie because it has a good storyline and the actors were good" Lianne said honestly.

"Are you hungry?" Jordy asked after he realised that she hadn't eaten since morning. "Yes please" Lianne said

"What would you like to eat?" Jordy asked expecting her to mention a name of food but what she said was completely different.

"I want ice cream, cotton candy and ... French fries with ketchup" Lianne said. The only thing there that could pass out for food was the French fries.

"That's a meal for a toddler not an adult such as you" Jordy stated with a shake of head making Lianne bow her head disappointedly with a cute pout. Jordy ruffled her hair and said "I didn't say I wasn't going to get it" and Lianne who was just about to scold him for ruffling her hair held back the words as her lips tugged into a huge grin. Her dad would never allow her because he was concerned about her health and no matter how many times the doctor assured him, he still remained overprotective. She wasn't complaining because it came with its own benefits.

After getting the 'food' for Lianne, they decided to go to the park. They had a lot of fun and Jordy decided to ask Lianne a question that had been bothering him for a while.

"Why don't you like holding hands?" Jordy asked and Lianne paused for a while before choosing to reply.

"I don't like it when you have to let go after and that warm feeling disappears" Lianne replied honestly and decided to ask him a question also "that woman. Do you think she's my mom?"

Jordy paused for a moment before replying "I don't know but it's not impossible. I won't say you should accept her just like that but you should at least hear her out" 

Lianne smiled at him and he returned it. "Is she also part of the reason?" He asked

"Not necessarily but yes. She died while I was still holding her hands. I could feel as the warm feeling faded away and it turned cold. That was the moment everything faded away" Lianne said. She glanced at her hands as though remembering that experience.
