Chapter 60: The confession.

That evening after work , Alyssa organized to leave for home when she remembered that she was supposed to meet May.

' Gosh ! I almost forgot. " She told herself and picked her hand bag. She had just opened the door of her office when she saw there a gift bag.

' Who put this here ? ' Alyssa pouted her lips and looked around all sides of the corridors. She decided to pick the gift bag and checked what was inside.

' My God ! ' There was a very new phone and a note.

Calcel W

The note read. Alyssa's mouth formed an O in her excitement and surprise and she covered her mouth with her hands . Was this really from Calcel , She couldn't believe it. She left the office with the gift bag and walked to the parking where her car was .

Alyssa arrived at the appointed place by 6:30. She got a seat and ordered for a drink while she waited for May.

May finally arrived.

" Ms Alyssa , I am really sorry for making you wait. " May said sitting down opposite Alyssa.

" It's okay. The good thing is that you are now here. " Alyssa spoke out politely

" Thanks for understanding Ma'am. " May smiled.

"So what is it that you wanted us to talk about ? " Alyssa inquired to know.

" Am...The thing is that I am actually nolonger working in Wong Costmetics. " May said that first in a mumble.

Alyssa was confused to hear this. " Why all of sudden ? Did something wrong happen ? " She asked to make sure that everything was going well.

" I decided to quit after having some misunderstandings with Calcel. " May attered out.

" Huh. " Alyssa was in whamy. She didn't know what to say next.

" I want to ask you a favor. " May said grabbing Alyssa's hands from the table.

What is it ? " She inquired.

May got a small box from her bag and put it on the table. " Please take this to Mr David and tell him that it's a sign of appreciation for whatever he has done for me. I really appreciate everything. " May said.

" And this . " She added bringing another box that looked bigger . " Give it to Calcel telling him that it was really nice working with him.. "

Alyssa was confused about this. " Why don't you meet them and give them the items on your own ? " She asked curiously.

May made a corner smile. " I would also like to do that but all is impossible now because I nolonger have anything with the family. At least you can do this for me as David's wife and Calcel's mother. They won't reject them for your sake. " May spoke.

Alyssa sighed with her lips forming a smile. " Okay , I will try . " She assured.

" Thank you so much Ms Alyssa. '' May smiled too.

" If that's all , I guess I am leaving. " Alyssa said and was about to get up but May stopped her.

" Wait a bit ! " May begged.

" Do you have more to say ? " Alyssa asked.

" Of course Ma'am. I just wish that you give me time. " May asked.

Alyssa looked at wrist watch to find that they had just talked for half an hour.

" Okay , Speak up. " Alyssa said.

" Ms Alyssa , You know when I started working in Wong Costmetics , My dream was to become part of the Wong's family. " May finally confessed.

" What are you talking about ? "

" You understand Alyssa. The truth is that I like Calcel. So much more than anything. " May said.

" You like Calcel ? " Alyssa couldn't believe this that she found herself asking again.

" Yes. " May admitted. "

" Then why don't you confess to him ? " Alyssa wondered.

" I did that some time ago. But Calcel didn't take it seriously. " May said solemnly.

" Why would he reject a woman like you ? " Alyssa asked out of innocence.

May got something like an envelope from her bag and put it on the desk.

" It's because of this. " She said.

Alyssa in confusion got the envelope and opened it. She has a frown on her. She found there photos and removed them. To her shock , It was a photo of her and Calcel. Calcel was holding her waist and her hands were on his chest. They looked like a real couple from the photo.

" What's this ? " She asked not believing her ears.

" I took those photos with my phone on your welcome party when I saw you and Calcel in that intimate position. " May declared.

" But it's a misunderstanding. He was just helping me when I was about to fall. " Alyssa explained to avoid confusion.

" I don't care about what happened . Do you think that the public can understand that ? " May asked.

Alyssa was out of words.

" What do you want ? " Alyssa asked.

" I want you to help me get Calcel. " May said.

" But I can't force him to like you. " Alyssa spoke.

" I know that. " May said and leaned closer.

" If you don't want to the World to think that the Mayor's wife is having an affair with his step son , Make sure you convince Calcel to marry me. " May said and leaned back on the chair.

" That's all I wanted to say. " She added. Her expression had totally changed into that evil look that startled Alysaa.

At Wong's Mansion.

Calcel was home when he was welcomed by his father's cold look.

" Good evening Father. " He greeted in his normal self but he also could notice the anger in his father's eyes.

" We need to talk ! " David said and holding his hands from the back and left the living room leaving Calcel to follow him. They walked to David's room's parlor.

" What does this mean ? " David shouted at Calcel giving him some envelope.

Calcel was still amused by his father's behavior. He got the envelope which had ' Resignation letter ' On it.

" Whose is this ? " Calcel asked.

" Don't ask as if you know nothing. How could you let May leave ? " David was bitter.

" Father , it was her will to leave. I didn't ask her to. " Calcel said.

" Huh...Do you think she would have left if you hadn't told her what ever shit you did ? " David blutteted .

" Did she tell you everything ? " Calcel couldn't believe it. Was it possible that May told his father her personal issues.

" Of course. She came to me directly and told me how you rejected her. " David was still talking in a raised tone that Calcel could feel how angry his father was.
