Chapter 160: Or you like Calcel ?

" It's okay.." David answered.

" I have read through most of the things. You are really doing a great work. " David spoke and got up from Calcel's chair.

" Where were you the whole night ? " David eventually asked while he went to sit in the parlor.

" I followed Marvis to May's house. " Calcel spoke the truth.

" To May's house ? Why ? " David asked with confusion.

" Marvis is the girl who Alyssa got the accident with. " Calcel said.

" What ? You mean that Alyssa was with someone that day ? " David asked to prove.

" Yes. And Marvis was pregnant too. She lost her baby and her memory because of that accident. " Calcel declared.

" What a coincidence ! " David wondered as he thought about it.

" She was so angry after that so in order to calm her down i took her to some building and we unfortunately got locked inside. " Calcel added.

" I am glad you came back safely. So ...what is on Marvis' mind ? " David asked with concern.

" I don't know yet. But she can't do anything unless she has proof that May was the cause of the accident.." Calcel said.

" This is too bad than I thought. " David spoke solemnly and then gave Calcel a serious look.

" Why don't you two sign the divorce papers tomorrow ? " David asked .

" Father ? " Calcel called.

" Calcel , I regret that I made you to marry such a woman. I am really sorry.." David apologized.

" You don't have to apologize father. Everyone makes mistakes. And besides that, You did it to keep the secret that I am not your real son right ? " Calcel asked.

" No Calcel. I was selfish because I wanted to become the Mayor. I kept the secret to avoid ruining my family's reputation that my wife cheated on me with my brother.." David said sadly and then smiled.

" But you know what Cancel..You are the best son that I have ever had. And I don't want you to ever think that you are not my son. Because you are..." David said with a small smile on his face.

" Thank you Father. I love you .." Calcel said overwhelmed with Joy.

" I love you too my son.." David said .

That evening, The maids were setting up the supper table under Jenny's supervision when she saw Alyssa who was working hard and she smiled. She remembered the way the old Alyssa used to do her things which was not differ from this one.

Alyssa was still busy when she looked around and noticed Jenny's look and smile.

" Ms Jenny...is there anything on my face ? " Alyssa asked.

" Oh...not really.." Jenny answered.

" Then why were you looking at me like that ? " Alyssa asked.

" You just remind me of someone " Jenny said.

Alyssa sighed and asked. " Is that someone Alyssa ?"

Jenny glared not expecting this question.

" How did you know ? " Jenny asked.

" I don't know. Everyone tells me that i behave like Alyssa. Especially my voice. " Alyssa said .

" People resemble and do similar things so...That shouldn't bother you. ",Jenny replied

" I know " Alyssa answered.

" Can I ask what really happened yesterday ? " Jenny posed the question.

" I am Ms Jenny. I would rather not talk about it " Alyssa said with guilt in her eyes.

Jenny then gave her a doubtful face.

" Marvis...I am old enough. I can tell from your look that something more than you two being stuck in the room happened. " Jenny said.

" No Ma'am. I promise you that nothing happened. " Alyssa spoke out loud.

Jenny laughed at this and said. " Then if nothing happened , Why didn't want to talk about it ? Even in the morning you were going to lie if it wasn't for Calcel to tell me the truth.." Jenny talked.

" Or...you like Calcel ? " Jenny then asked making her look away in shame.

" Why would Like a married man ? " She asked .

Jenny was enjoying teasing her.

" Really ? Then look at me and say that you don't like Calcel.." Jenny spoke out pulling Alyssa buy her chin to face her.

Alyssa made herself look serious and said.

" I don't like..." Before she completed her sentence Calcel entered the house and said.

" Good evening ..." To both.

" Welcome back ? " Jenny asked.

The following day, May had to come to the Mansion to sign the divorce papers. Their family lawyer Jordan was yet to come with all the divorce documents so they needn't go to the Court.

May came dressed in a full black dress as if she had gone to mourn. She came alone and had stopped her mother from coming.

David stayed to witness this as he didn't have at tight schedule.

In the kitchen..

Alyssa was there with Dora and Rita who were in their usual gossip.

" Guys, May is here already. She's finally divorcing Cancel. " Mary entered to inform.

" Poor May. I can't imagine divorcing such a handsome man. " Dora pitied.

" If I were her I kill myself. " Rita said.

" Like seriously this is rude. Divorcing someone just because she lost their child ? " Ritah asked.

Alyssa who had decided to keep out of the conversation stepped when they said this.

" Guys, Calcel didn't just divorce May because of the baby. Don't judge him . ",,She defended.

They all looked at her in astonishment.

",What are you meaning Marvis ? Do you think that there's another reason why ? " Rita asked.

" Of course there must be. " Alyssa answered.

Mary came to her and said." Marvis, We understand that just like us you have a crush on Calcel. "

The three laughed at Alyssa when Mary said this and added.

" But he is heartless. He is very capable of divorcing her just because of that. "

" I don't agree. " Alyssa muttered because she knew the real truth.

Then Dora came to her and said. " Or you know something that we don't know ? "

Now Alyssa looked away from them and said.

" No..What would i know ? " She asked.

" Now let us give you a piece of advise. " Rita spoke.

" Calcelis not someone you can trust. "
