Kali performed several more hand signs before stopping. The air started to become chillier as small forms of snow appeared in the air. As the temperature kept decreasing, small symbols appeared on Kali's eye.
"By the name of Khione, the Ice Goddess, I bound you all to this land of snow. Infinite Blizzard." Kali said.
Numerous pillars of ice started to surround the entire area. Even Gildarts had to step back due to the interference.
"Kali! What're you planning?!" Gildarts shouted.
"Don't worry, I'm going to be doing both you and I a favor." Kali replied with a big grin on her face. "Now then, let the party begin."
The ground started to turn into layers of ice, pillars formed wherever the golems were, and Gildarts could be seen shivering under his cloak.
"If you told me this was going to happen, I would've brought more clothes!"
"Sorry, I didn't think I was going to use this either. This is my first time trying it out so I might've made a mistake. That's probably why it's so cold."
"Then hurry up and end it! I don't want to turn into a block of ice."
Kali chuckled and nodded in reply. She then focused on the golems who were starting to have small pieces of ice form on their bodies.
"Now then, let's end this." Kali muttered. The snow that was falling froze mid-air and the giant golems were the same. "Essence of Ice Magic, Break."
The sound of glass breaking could be heard. The layers of ice on the ground started to crack, the pillars were also cracking, and the golems' limbs were falling off part by part.
With the final deafening sound of glass breaking, all of the ice disappeared and the temperature was finally turning back to normal. The golems that were once made of rocks were now broken blocks of ice.
Soon enough, everything turned back to normal.
Kali let out a long sigh, she didn't expect the ability to use this much of her mana. Now, she was sure she did something wrong since the abilities that were stronger than this took up less mana.
She sighed to herself, she was going to have to practice more ice magic. She used ice and fire magic the least since there were Natsu and Gray. But now, they weren't with her anymore so she was going to have to practice.
"That ability of yours is crazy strong, it took down ten golems with ease." Gildarts said.
"I know." Kali replied. "But it seems I have to work on it since it takes up too much mana. It's been a while since I used ice magic."
"Let me guess, the reason you hardly used it is because of Gray?"
"Bullseye." Kali said with a chuckle. "Anyway, that seems to be about it. Should we head onto the next job?"
"Yeah, let's leave."
However, right as they were walking towards the exit. A strange figure descends upon them. It had a gray face, magenta eyes, razor sharp teeth, pointy ears, and orange circular attachments and red lightning like attachments on his face.
At first glance, Kali could tell it wasn't human. She could sense a bit of familiarity inside of the figure. She widened her eyes and was in disbelief.
'There's no way..' Kali thought.
The odd figure was the first one to speak, it's voice was filled with malicious intent. The deep voice only made things scarier.
"Unfortunately, I cannot let you leave." the figure said. "Since the two of you broke my precious golems, I'll have to break you."
Kali frowned. "It wasn't us who wanted to kill it, so use us as someone to blame."
"Hahahaha! I would but they weren't the ones who killed it." the figure said. "I am Lord Ghastler, I was once known for brutally killing people, and finding it fun. Though, I still do."
"Oi, what is this thing?" Gildarts whispered. "It doesn't look normal."
"It's not normal." Kali said. "It's something that doesn't belong to this world. It's a demonoid. That thing was created from the blood of a dangerous creature."
"Then, should we be careful with it?"
"Yes, until we find out what it's capable of. Until then, play it safe."
Kali analyzed the demonoid in front of her, it seemed a bit too ancient, and the fact that it doesn't recognize her and Gildarts says something too. Though, who would get news in a forest like this?
"Lord Ghastler, what exactly did you come to this forest for? Tell me your goal." Kali said.
"I'm glad you asked! I've been wanting to say it for a long time." Lord Ghastler said with a laugh. "I want to create a word with endless death and destruction that I control! A world where I can recreate and revive just to destroy and kill again! One day, that world of mine will become reality."
Kali blinked at those words. This was the first time she's seen someone or something with such an unrealistic girl in this era."
"Say, how old are you?" Kali asked.
"About four-hundred years old!"
"Ah, well then that explains it. That world of yours will never become reality. Your dream will stay a dream, it will never be brought into this world."
"Hehe, why do you think so?" Lord Ghastler asked with a large grin that showed off his long razor sharp teeth.
"Because I exist in this world. Anything that can harm the things I care about shall be removed from this world."
Gildarts couldn't believe the words he heard out of Kali. He silently thanked Mira for making Kali seem more human. If it was the past, he would've passed out from disbelief.
"You believe you can stop me? A mere wizard who doesn't know its place. Today, I will teach you where you stand!"
Kali grinned. "Then show me what you've got! I just hope words are all you've got!"
"Should I join the fight?" Gildarts asked.
Kali shook her head. "Not yet, I want to figure out his abilities first. Even though it's ancient, it's still incredibly strong."
"Stronger than you?"
"Of course not. There won't be a single universe that I'm in and I'm not the strongest. Simply impossible."
"As confident as always, I guess that's what makes you, you."
Kali grinned at Gildarts before focusing back on the demonoid. She knew demonoids were troublesome to kill, that's why she wasn't going to kill it but injure severely so it wouldn't attack anyone in the meantime.
There was also Ghastler's magic that Kali was interested in. After all, she sensed that it was similar to hers.
"Shall we start?"
"Of course, I've been waiting for decades."
