10. Joining the Guild

"Let me take it from here El. I am Irene Belserion and these are my children Elior and Erza. The 4 standing at the side are my subordinates. We want to join the guild. Will that be possible? " Irene elaborated.

" I see. That is acceptable. Also-" Makarov was saying as Irene cut him off.

"Well, there are a few things I would like to clarify" and continued when Makarov nodded at her "First, it would mainly only be Elior and Erza who would be active in the guild and Erza will also only start from next year as I want to train her myself for the coming year. Though, she will visit from time to time unlike the rest of us. What benefits the guild would get from this is that I would act as a guardian of sorts for the guild and help out in the time of need. I would also like my identity to be kept a secret" and then released her magic power focusing only on Makarov.

"Im-impossible, how can someone have so much magic power" he muttered with sweat flowing down his face and Irene reeled back the pressure after getting her point across.

"You overdid it" I whispered to her.

"I didn't even release my full pressure" Irene snorted. Makarov started shivering on hearing this and I just gave a wry smile.

It took a few minutes for him to get his bearings back after which he stared at us, specifically Irene and said " I would really like to know more about you guys but guild policy, the past doesn't matter.

BUT, if you ever do anything that harms my children-" he said this with menacing eyes and left the next half unsaid .

"Hmph, I'd really like to see you try" Irene just snorted at that and crossed her arms.

" Brother~ when can we get the guild mark ~" Erza whined cutely, completely defusing the tense atmosphere.

"Hohoho, you can get it now. Where do you want to get the guild mark, little Erza" asked Makarov returning back to his normal and kind self.

"Really!!! Then, I want it here" said Erza with stars in her eyes while rushing near him and showing her left shoulder.

He stamped the guild mark on her left shoulder, same with the others who also got it in that exact place. I got one on my right forearm. At last, it was only Irene's turn left and she just humphed trying to look annoyed "hurry up and do it" but it just made her look cute. She also got it on her left shoulder just like the rest.

" How simple yet an efficient magic" she complimented after observing the guild mark for a few seconds.

"Welcome to the family" exclaimed Makarov with a warm face and we all smiled. Gotta give it to him, the man has quite the charisma.

After some more talk and formalities, Irene decided that it was time to leave but me and Erza wanted to stay to which she was reluctant, but after some persuasion from us and even master, she finally relented.

"We will meet you guys at 7 pm near the Kardia cathedral. El, take care of your sister" commented Irene while standing up and then teleported with the others, leaving only me, Erza and master.

"Come let me introduce you to the rest of the guild" master jumped from his chair and commented.

"Yes, Master-" He cut me off "No need to be so stiff, you can call me 'gramps' just like my grandkid. He is around your age. Let's go, he would be very happy to meet someone his age."

" Sure, gramps"x2 we replied with a smile and followed him to the main hall.
