Hint: Times Change

Divus looked at what showed up and could care less about the Quest Functioning. The hint that was given did nothing good for him. One could assume that Alfalogia got bored of Divus, and left him. At least, this is what he took it as.

This revelation left him in disarray. He thought 'had everything I've lived been a lie?'. Divus had no experience in Real-life situations. Everything was taken care of by Alfalogia. On top of this, his powers were based on emotions, meaning them being sent into disarray could do a lot of different things to him. While drowning in his depressing thoughts, he heard Gale shout,

"Let's get going your children, the day is fresh and ripe for the picking", smirked the Old Man.

Vania immediately went over to get ready to leave and Divus just kind of stood there. Expressionless. Vania thought he did this normally so she just left him.

Divus robotically carried on To the carriage, without saying a word. He sat there in thought. Old Man Gale thought this was a normal thing for this strange boy, and let him do him. He had money to make and stuff to sell. But with this boy, even bandits held no chance against him. He had seen his power personally.

Side Quest Received

Quest Name: Guardian of the Merchants

Quest Description: Protect Old Man Gale And Vania From Bandits until they reach a town where they can sell their goods

Quest Rewards/Failure: This Quest is based on How successful you are, and rewards/punishment are corresponding to that.

Divus saw this message and thought that he might as well do it, as it could give no harm. It gave him time to drown in his thoughts and think about the whole situation.

He helped Gale put things onto his carriage. This included almost everything one could need, food, clothes, blankets, trinkets, etc. They started off their journey soon after they finished packing. Divus didn't need anything, as he had nothing, and his two partners were accustomed to doing this sort of thing normally.

After a few minutes into their journey, Gale started talking about stories about himself. He said "there once was this time where I went with my friends to destroy Lava Monsters, every guild around didn't take the quest, but me and my buddies, we weren't afraid of anything! We went up to their hiding place, and killed them all in one go, after that they weren't causing any more trouble for the villagers.."

He seemed to ramble on about his adventures, and the previous one he told was just his first that he told Divus. Vania has already heard this story 5 times by now. So I'm a bit of annoyance she said "yea yea, after this the villagers were so great fun to you and your "manly" group members and decided to throw a feast, which you where you met grandma. Blah blah blah, de blah blah blah."

"You know my Vania, you used to love these stories I told. I guess I told em too fast, so I don't have any new ones, but I couldn't refuse the puppy dog eyes you gave me when you wanted to hear more."

Vania got a bit red from hearing Gale say that, as no one wanted to admit to them doing now embarrassing things that their parents or grandparents told later to get a blush out of them.

Divus interrupted into their conversation by saying "what's a guild?"

Gale and Vania were speechless. No one asked them this question. Guilds in itself were usually self-explanatory. What could this boy had have to do to not hear a single thing about guilds in his lifetime?

Vania answered first and said, "you know what magic is right?"

Divus nodded

"Guilds are a place where people who use magic, called wizards, gather to make a living off of using magic. They're the heroes that protect us from dangers, my old man used to be a wizard until he lost his ability to cast magic after a certain incident which caused him to lose his magic.."

Divus thought that was sad however he didn't think much of it.

Gale said "You know, I used to be so good, they called me 'Strongest Wind Gale', and chanted my name wherever I went. I was a Hero back in my hometown! I could whoop your ass without looking back in my day, but now I need to be a merchant just to scrape by. I even need to hire bodyguards these days cause I'm so old. Ahh, I shouldn't of spoiled my first son with all the money I got from my wizarding missions. I wish that I saved a little bit to spoil my granddaughter."

Vania thought this was just flattery from her grandfather and didn't believe he was rich at one point. "Okay, how about we go faster? We can earn more money that way".

Gale couldn't disagree as he needed his money and loved it as well. They all carried on, Gale sad that his granddaughter didn't want to hear his stories, Vania slightly embarrassed and sad that she couldn't hear his stories again, and Divus sad that Alfalogia abandoned him.

All was well and dandy in their trip until when at night, and they were sleeping, Divus heard some branches being broken right near where they were camped out.

This was suppose to go out last night but I fell asleep. I’m in Sri Lanka rn for family so I have some time to write chapters. I have a question for you guys. Do you drink tea with milk? I don’t because I feel like it ruins the flavor of tea. Does anyone disagree or agree with me?
