"Lu Jingze!" Meng Xi gritted her teeth and glared at her phone. The urge to toss the phone at the wall was building up within her and she took a moment to calm down.

After the man 'politely' excused her from his study without even giving her a chance to retort, she found herself hanging around the hallway and staring at a popular business tabloid on her phone. Curiosity to know more about the man she married ate her up and she dug out every single article on the man until she found one with his picture.

It was a blurry picture taken from a bad angle, probably because the photographer did not want to be seen. However, Meng Xi remembered the story with the picture well and she really hated that article.

It was the first interview with the new president of the Lu corporation six months ago. Before the young man even returned to the country, he had driven every corner with a huge sensation. Rumors of his unhealthy handsomeness were the talk of the entertainment world while the business world debated his skills. When he eventually arrived, the world ran mad!

"I am leaving" she stated, she slipped her hand into her pocket and took a step forward when suddenly a figure jumped in front of her. She frowned.

"But, the young master asked me to take you to the room after dinner, he said that I should tell you that it is late and the neighborhood is not safe lately so you should wait up for him until he is done working first!" the lolita exclaimed.

Meng Xi's frown deepened. The neighborhood is not safe? She thought and narrowed her eyes, gazing at the floor coldly. She knew that it was almost impossible that the man would let her go especially after their talk in the study, she did not expect to really be trapped so soon.

She gritted her teeth and decided to be patient for once. She threw a look at his study and raised her voice a bit.

"Bring me to the room then, I will wait for him," she said.

"Ah, okay!" The young maid waited to ask about dinner at first but decided against it after reading Meng Xi's mood. She walked ahead and began leading Meng Xi in another direction.
