Freshman Welcoming Ceremony (Chapter - 11)

As Sara relentlessly assaulted Kenny, the scene in the video shifted. Elsewhere, children engaged in duels, groups clashed in combat, and alliances formed to outnumber opponents. Some individuals bravely faced entire groups alone. Amidst the chaos, compassionate souls emerged, offering aid to the injured. Some wielded healing powers, others shared potions, and those unable to do either assisted in guiding the wounded away from the fray. Certain youngsters even carried unconscious comrades to safety, away from the tumultuous battleground. But one word could describe the whole situation, "Chaos".

The scene changed to a boy inside a bus once more. He was startled awake by the commotion. He bore a solemn expression as he gazed out the window. When he realised what was going on, he drew his blanket closer and went back to sleep as if nothing was happening.

The scene switched to the black-haired boy and Sara Drake. Sara was fatigued and breathing deeply as she pointed her blade at the boy. She was obviously stronger. Even her speed was definitely faster, but none of her attacks struck the boy as if he knew where they would hit from beforehand.

What's more, all of her attacks were fortified with her mana. As a result, she depleted the majority of her mana and stamina. And before she knew it, she was poised with paralysis poison. At first, she thought she would finally be able to corner him, but she didn't even see Kenny use any poison when her full body was covered in shiny armour.

"Hahaha, is this all the Drake Family's young miss is worth?"

"Huff... Shut up! You will pay for this!"

"So I am the winner of this duel, right?So shouldn't I get a reward?In that case , aren't you the one who will be paying?"

Kenny grabbed the badge from Sara's shoulder. It was the symbol of the Drake Family. This is given to every official family member. What's special about it is that the badge not only functions as the identification of Drake family members; it's also the full-body portable armour of the Drake Family.

"What are you doing? You think you can just take it away?" asked Sara. The paralysis poison has already spread so much that she has lost her ability to resist.

'It can only be operated by the Drake Family's signature mana techniques. Unless someone completely masters the mana control technique of the Drake family, it will never be turned off or on. What a fool.' thought Sara.

But in just 3 seconds, the armour automatically turned off, and the whole badge came to Kenny's hand.

"There you go," said Kenny.

"No! How could you? Return it immediately," Sara exclaimed. As the armor was removed, her silhouette emerged. Dark hair with purple ends cascaded in a ponytail, framing her delicate features. Long lashes brushed over deep purple eyes, her petite nose, and rounded lips conveying her distress. Tear-filled eyes implored Kenny to reconsider, pleading for the return of the family inheritance.

But Kenny mercilessly put the badge on his shoulder. And the badge once again turned on automatically, giving Kenny full body armour.

"I will use it well, don't worry," said Kenny in a girly voice that resembled Sara's.

"No! You are making me worry more by saying that," said Sara. Since the armour was completely covering Kenny's body, there was no way to know who he was.

"Now, back to business." Kenny once again spoke in a girly voice. Then he rushed into the ongoing battle.

Two kids were fighting with a spear and a sword. Kenny jumped between them and punched one in the stomach and another in the space between his legs. Kenny also made "Hiya" and "Haya" sounds in a girly voice. With the addition of the armour that increased his strength and speed, he became pretty much invincible. When his opponent is a girl, he punches them in the stomach and knocks them out; if it's a boy, he kicks their family jewellery and moves on.

When Kenny was beating three boys, a large water lance flew towards him from behind. He quickly went into a defensive stance. The whole lance crashed into him, making him fly 5 metres backward. But thanks to the armour, the impact was reduced by a lot.

"Oh my god! Why is Sara Drake beating everyone so mercilessly?" Shouted the kid who threw the lance.

Kenny sauntered towards the figure, cracking his fingers with a menacing air. The individual's long hair and ambiguous attire added a layer of uncertainty, intensifying Kenny's pursuit of the family heirlooms.

"Just to clarify, should I aim for your 'guts' or your 'nuts'?" Kenny taunted.

"Take this, this is my signature move. ' Aqua Torrent Slash'."

The attack launches three razor-sharp blades of water that streak through the air with incredible speed, aiming directly for Kenny. Each blade maintains its fluid form as it darts towards its target, leaving a faint trail of mist in its wake.

But Kenny simply dodged them all while dashing toward the kid.

"It has good attack power but too slow and simple."

"What the hell! Stay back," the kid retorted, bolting away, but Kenny easily outpaced them.

"Looks like it's your nuts," Kenny declared triumphantly. "Take this , this is my signature move, 'Pelvic Punishment'."

With a swift kick from behind, the figure collapsed in agony.

"Ha! I knew it. Always trust my guts in detecting nuts," Kenny chuckled, a sense of vindication washing over him.

The onlookers, observing from a safe distance, felt a chill run down their spines.

Despite their differences, they all shared one sentiment:

"Devil! He's a devil!"

The video concluded with a senior from Phoenix Academy describing how this was a test to determine the newcomer's abilities.

First of all, the whole speech was an illusion. Using technology as well as technical illusions, the Academy made duplicates of famous people. It's wrong to say academy; the whole project was planned by the seniors from the academy.

The whole speech was fake, created by the academy's senior students using technology and tricks. They made copies of famous people and used dull language to give the speech. There were no rules for students to attend the ceremony. They just had to ignore the speech and go to the main academy. If they realized it was fake or got bored and left, they passed the test.

But even after 2 hours, very few kids were able to figure out the play. And the discord between the kids was easily predictable. Everyone knew that if left alone, there would definitely be kids who would get into a fight. So the absence of preventive was to test the students.

But even the teachers from the academy didn't predict the outcome would turn out so big.

Approximately 1000 of the nearly 5,000 children were directly involved in fighting. Depending on their behaviour, everyone was given marks.

The first-ranked person in this test was a girl named Novalie, who healed the most injured person and received a total of 500+ points.

I received a total of 100 Phoenix Points. Without undertaking any quests, it takes a total of 50 days to earn it. I don't know if I was the first person to realise the test, but I was the first person to exit the speech. So they mistook me and gave me an extra 50 points.

Phoenix Academy used Phoenix Points as it's currency. Every day, a person receives two Phoenix Points from the Academy. It can be traded for food, clothing, lectures, or anything else.

The main way to get points is through quests. However, by selling, we may also trade points. But everything we brought together was taken away from us. I didn't even have my old clothes anymore. My phone was also confiscated. It is forbidden to connect to the outside world without permission.

So the extra 50 points are really good. I looked at the other reward that I got.
