But still, this novel is greatly inspired by "The Author's POV." And most of the "Extra" novels are the same. So maybe a parallel thinking worked here. I realized the the similarities after reading some other novels after writing my own.)

I was currently walking through the dining hall with the tray of food, looking for a seat. We apparently get three meals a day for free.

My name is Kardama Drogo.

It's a name difficult to recall. I'm attempting to become acquainted with this name.

Affinity: None

The next thing is my affinity. A person is born with a variety of affinities. Fire, water, wind, earth, ice, lightning, poison, wood, and so on are all examples of elements.

Most people have one affinity with the quality of Low, Intermediate/ Mid, High or Peak. There are some lucky people born with more than one affinity.

But I have no affinity. However, this does not put me at a disadvantage. Although a person's affinity is determined at birth, none element affinity appears to be one of the most desired.

A person who is born with a fire affinity is blessed with the power of fire. His mana endowed with something called fire elemental energy.

He learns martial arts and spells of fire very quickly. And his fire elemental skill will always be superior to the average. This is true for all elements. And with enough effort he transform his mana endowed with fire element into lava , magma , plasma and more.

Similarly, someone with water affinity will be able to master ice element using his water elemental energy. Someone with earth affinity will be able to master Metal with earth elemental energy.

However, there is a drawback. It is impossible for someone with a fire affinity to learn anything remotely linked to water affinity. A wood affinity person will never be able to learn any fire element magic or martial art since one energy is opposite of another.

However, a person with no affinity has the advantage of being a jack of all trades. For an example a Water elementalist can walk the same path of a Ice elementalist since water is related with Ice. A fire elementalist, on the other hand can learn techniques related to Lava even if he doesn't primarily have the affinity for it.

An water elementalist can't learn Lava techniques and a fire elementalist can't learn Ice techniques.

But, if a person has no affinity, he can go whatever the way he wants. He does not have any obstructions. He can learn an Ice art , then a fire art, then a space or illusion art, whatever he wants. As long as he puts efforts, there are possibilities to transform his mana to any existing elemental energy.

However, it also has a major disadvantage. A non-elementalist excels at nothing. As if you were a jack of all trades and master of none. Although they can walk any path, their pace will never be the same as someone who has an affinity for that path.

I've already determined the path I'm going to take. If I want to pursue water arts, it will be easier for me to pursue wood arts because wood is related to water.

However, these are ineffective in battle. So, first and foremost, I will grasp the fundamentals of fire and water. A fire elementalist cannot master water arts, and vice versa. But a non elementalist doesn't have that problem. So I'm going to learn these two and establish a solid foundation.

Fire arts are primarily destructive, concerned with dealing damage. As a result, a beginner fire elementalist has a high offensive power but a low defense and speed.

Water art on the other hand has to offer anything but strong offense power. That is, only for beginners. Offense possibilities expand as the rank progresses to intermediate. Water arts are far more diverse than fire arts. It is useful for powerful defense, healing, support, buffing, and many other things.

I can therefore overcome the drawbacks of both fire and water arts if I learn them together. I will have powerful attacks, defense, and healing abilities, and I will be able to assist others from behind the battle.
