135: A Company of Fools: Operation of Pride VIII

"I-imposter! How dare you! Draco, you would let your wife speak to me in such a way?!" I snapped, putting back on my Damon impression, hoping that I could fake my way out of the situation. Draco leaned down and planted a kiss on Adellah's forehead.

"Of course I will. Besides, you can drop the act whoever you are. My men found the real Simon Caldifax an hour ago, along with his daughters and son-in-law." Draco replied.

<FUCK! JADE! NATE!> I exclaimed over the link and looked over to the lounge where they were.

<CHASE! We're surrounded by red dragons!> Nate yelled through the link.

<They crept in little by little, so we didn't notice!> Jade added.

<Stay calm! Don't make any sudden moves!> I ordered them and then looked back to Adellah and Draco. They both had devious smiles on their faces that sickened me to the core.

"Did you honestly think I wouldn't notice my big brother even in that get up. Our family specializes in that transformation spell, so obviously, I'd be able to see through it in a heartbeat." Adellah bragged as she pointed to Sin. "I have to admit I was surprised he chose to impersonate a woman. However, no matter how hard he tries, he can't mask his…gorilla tendencies."

<Sinner I don't think your sister needs to be saved!> I snapped.

<That's impossible! Draco is holding her hostage to use me!> Sin rebutted.

<Then why the fuck is she giving off mob wife vibes!> I snapped back.

"Well fuck…you had the staff accept the bet because you knew that it would be a chance to exhaust our evos and male us easier to deal with…" I said with softly. Draco smiled and nodded.

"Yes, it doesn't take techno-splicing scientist to realize something is going on when the usually reserved better Simon Caldifax suddenly places a bet more than ten times his usual and suddenly wants to fight in the tournament." Draco replied. "I figured your evos would either be killed or exhausted after a few fights but they are surprisingly strong and one is even a ascended. Had you, Audin over there, and those two over in the lounge area not cost me so much money tonight I would have asked you to join the red dragons as generals."

"You're that pissed over a few hundred thousand?" I asked. Draco laughed loudly however the sound was anything but joyous.

"Try a few hundred million. I know you four were the ones that blew up my weapons depot and probably my trafficking station in the silver city. In one day you've cost me more money than you'd probably see in your short miserable life." Draco said. As he spoke hos toke got sterner and more menacing.

"Don't count on that Drakey, so what's the plan? How exactly are you going to deal with us?" I asked as I stood a step back and leaned against the guardrail of my platform.

<Jade do you still have that ring I gave you?> I asked.

<Yes along with the two unstable ones you gave me earlier today.> Jade said.

<Have them on standby!> I ordered.

"Well first Sadiq's hyglodon is going to kill Audin's evo then Audin. Then my men are going to kill the two in the lounge then drag their bodies outside and display them on spikes. And finally I'm going to kill you, slowly and painfully!" Draco spat.

"Why spend so much time on little old me?" I asked coyly.

"Audin's a gonk, a lot of muscle and just enough brains to be dangerous but he's not smart enough to plan an attack on me this good. Each attack was designed to hurt my money, my influence, and my pride. They were all designed to get me here in front of you…how many months did you spend planning this? How much lf your life did you waste on this foolish plan?" Draco asked.

"Literally fifteen minutes. Also the attack on your human trafficking depot wasn't planned, that was a accident." I said with a chuckle. Draco's right eye twitched slightly and took a deep breath before speaking.

"How do you accidently kill a hundred of my men and destroy a entire warehouse?" He asked.

"Fairly easily actually. Especially when most of your splicers don't have evos of their own." I said cockily. Draco sighed and punched the bridge of his nose.

"I knew that decision was going to bite me in the ass later. While I thank you for bringing this glaring weakness in my forces i'm going to enjoy watching all of you die." Draco said with a hint of amusement. I looked over at Adellah who'd been silent throughout this exchange.

"And you're okay with him killing your brother?" I asked her. Adellah huffed and rolled her eyes.

"Please? Brother? We have the same parents but he's hardly my brother, what has he done for me lately? Ever really?" Adellah asked facetiously. "I'll tell you, try to ruin the best thing that ever happen to me."

"Getting kidnapped by Draco is the best thing that ever happen to you?" I balked. Adellah looked up at Draco lovingly and sighed then scowled when she looked at me.

"Without a doubt." She replied.

"HE KIDNAPLED YOU AND HELD YOU AGAINST YOUR WILL! THEN BLACKMAILED YOUR BROTHER!" I bellowed while pointing at Draco.

"Yeah, but he had to. It was the only way he could show that he loved me!" Adellah said with a dreamy sigh.

<Oh this bitch is crazy!> I exclaimed.

"We have two terms for people like you: Stockholm syndrome and psycho bitch." I said. Draco snarled and took a step towards me grabbing me by my neck and lifting me off the ground with one hand. He was a lot stronger than he looked.

"I will not tolerate such disrespect to my wife!" He snarled.

I popped my claws while channeling burn attribute mana into them and slashed upwards at Draco's arm, cutting off at elbow in a blazing arc.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Draco hollered as he scurried back holding his scorched and severed nub.

"And I won't tolerate a wannabe gangster putting hos hands on me!" I snapped pointing my blazing claws at him.

"Draco!" Adellah screamed and rushed over to him. Draco looked at me, his face flushed red and veins bulging in his forehead. He gritted how teeth so tight I could hear them grinding.

"SADIQ! KILL THAT FUCKER!" Draco bellowed.

I spun around and saw that the fight between Meghido and that hyglodon was still going on. The hyglodon was covered in a few dozen small cuts all over its body and five of its heads were sagging towards the ground like they were unconscious. Meghido was coiled up in a defensive stance and hissed aggressively at the larger evo.

Sadiq looked at the state his evo was in then glared at Sin and pointed a finger at him and snarled.

"FORGET THE EVO! KILL AUDIN AKKESIN! KALHAPTIS!" Sadiq yelled.

"SINNER!" I bellowed. My body moved without me even thinking, I channeled blast and volt attribute mana at the same time and jumped over the guardrail of the platform and surged through the air towards Sin. At the same time the hyglodon's remaining heads all looked at Sin and charged him, all four of its remaining heads all poised to strike.

It felt as if time was moving at a crawl as I traveled through the air towards Sin. I heard four loud bangs go off as the hyglodon's heads lunged forward. I could see the first of the heads creeping closer to Sin with its mouth wide open and razor sharp teeth ready to rip and tear. Up to this moment I had been traveling through the air off the force of the volt attribute mana increasing my speed, now thr blast attribute that I had been channeling made it to my legs and mixed with the volt attribute. I felt a twinge of pain as violet flames shot from my feet and propelled me faster towards Sin.

I tackled him around his waist and rolled off the platform into the arena. Twisting my body I managed to maneuver myself so I Sin was holding Sin in a princess carry and landed on my feet, albeit I skidded across the ground. At that same we landed on the arena floor the hyglodon's heads crashed into the platform and utterly destroyed it. I stopped channeling blast attribute but kept channeling volt attribute and raced around the hyglodon before it noticed where we were.

"Recall your evo now!" I ordered Sin. He blinked and looked up at me with huge doe-eyes but after hearing my order he quickly complied.

"Meghido!" He yelled. The fluff-viper returned to his crystal and I wasted no time jumping out of the arena.

<Jade use the rings now!> I told her.

"SOMEONE KILL THOSE TWO!" Draco bellowed and pointed at Sin and I.

There was a sudden bright blast followed by a silent boom over by the betting booths. A black hole around seven feet in width formed and started sucking in everything in around it. Men and women in red dragon outfits went flying in orbit around the black hole screaming and reaching for something to grab onto only for their screams to suddenly go silent as their bodies were torn to pieces and not even atoms were left.

The pull of the black hole quickly reached Sin and I and I switched my mana attribute from volt to magnetic in response. My body was pulled towards the largest metal object in the building which thankfully were the support beams in the roof. Sin and I crashed into the support beam and were stuck on fast.

I could still see what was going on down below us. Nate and Jade were holding onto the bar of the lounge area trying their hardest to not get sucked in like the rest of the people around them. Most of the red dragon security that had surrounded Hade and Nate were either holding onto something or dead. The same for the patrons. Directly below us, Sadiq was holding onto the guardrails of the platform, the gravitation pull of the black hole had lifted him off his feet. His hyglodon was trying to slither against the pull but it was no use. It was yanked into the air and came crashing into Sadiq's platform and sent the both of them hurtling into the black hole.

Worst of all Draco and Adellah were holding onto the guardrails of the catwalk for dear life. Draco didn't have the best grip, having just lost an arm and was slipping.

As violently as the black hole was formed it dissipated silently and without warning. The strong gravitational pull that had been dragging everyone closer to its center and living them in the air just stopped suddenly. Everyone that had managed to not get dismantled dropped to the ground, save Sin and I.

<GET OUT OF HERE NOW!> I ordered Nate and Jade who both dropped onto a hardwood bartop.

<Don't have to tell me twice!!> They both replied and scampered to their feet and were already out the door before anyone else was able to sit up.

[Grimm, grab Nate and Jade and get them and Bo as far away from here as you can!] I ordered Grimm-Guard.

[Yes! Star boss!] Grimm-Guard exclaimed. I switches from channeling magnetic attribute back to blast attribute.

Sin and I fell down towards the catwalk below but before I landed on the catwalk I sent a blast of flames through the soles of my feet and slowed my descent then touched down softly. I held my arms out and caught Sin then set him down next to me.

My little maneuver had dragged Sin and I a good distance away from Draco, Adellah and what remained of his red dragons in the warehouse. We were at the back of the warehouse with at least three arenas between Draco and us. Despite that distance I could hear Draco clearly as he struggled to stand to his feet, using the guardrail to pull himself up.

"YOU! Y-Y-YOU…INSOLENT, BASTARDS!" Draco bellowed as he stood. The veins in his forehead were so pronounced I could see them from where I was standing.

"If that's the best you can come up with your insult game is weak…" I called back then snapped my fingers and dispelled the transformation spell that I had cast on myself, Nate and Jade. I felt a odd tingle all over my body as my appearance returned to normal. I glanced over at Sin and saw him staring at his sister.

"I don't think we'll be able to save her…or that she even thinks she needs to be saved." I told Sin.

A sudden flash got my attention, and off instinct, I channeled void attribute mana into my hand and swatted at the air in front of Sin.

The fog of shadows in the palm of my hand came in contact with a fireball and quickly dismantled it down to mana and absorbed it. I felt a rush of energy as I turned and saw Adellah's hand stretched out towards Sin and an offensive spell sigil dissipating.

"Addy?" Sin gasped.

"Nice trick! But it won't save you from the next one!" Adellah shouted and casted another offensive spell sigil. This time she fired three spiraling fireballs at Sin. I jumped in front of Sin and held both my hands out while still channeling void attribute mana. A large swirling abyss formed in front of me and broke down the fireballs and absorbed the mana.

'And here I was worrying I was going to be low.' I thought.

"Adellah, stop! It's me! AUDIN! Your brother!" Sin exclaimed as he pushed me out of the way and grabbed onto the guardrail as he yelled.

"I can see that! I'm not blind you idiot!" Adellah snapped.

"Then why….?" Sin gasped. He looked to Adellah and then to me, his eyes pleading for help understanding why his sister was attacking him.

"We call it Stockholm syndrome back in the States. When a person gets held captive for so long, they start to identify with their captors, thinking what's best for their captors is what's best for them. Your sister has it bad." I told Sin in English.

"How do we snap her out of it?" Sin demanded switching to English as well.

"I don't know if we can. She's been with him for so long. His grip is strong. I know, however, that we can't help her as long as he's alive. So, the mission is still the same. Kill Draco, save your sister." I told him.

"Kill Draco…kill Draco…" Sin said it a few times absentmindedly like it was giving him focus and renewing his purpose. "KILL DRACO! GOTCHA BOSS!"

Sin cast an axiom spell sigil, and a gash formed on his upper arm. Blood pooled from the gash and collected in a bubble that then shaped into an axe and hardened. Sin spun the blood axe around his body in an intimidating display before leveling it with Draco and dispelling his transformation spell.

"You're actually thinking you can fight us?!" Draco yelled, then motioned towards the catwalks that were left undamaged by the black hole and the small army of red dragons that was heading his way. At least thirty red dragons swarmed around Draco and acted as a wall that Sin and I would have to fight through. "You're out numbered!"

I channeled mana into the enchanted ring on my pointer finger and casted an offensive spell sigil. Flames shout out of my hands and formed into a long serpentine dragon that circled around me and Sin before coiling around my left arm. It was the Draco-Lance spell.

"And you fuckers are outclassed!" I snapped.

[HUTEXA_THE_DJINN Here! Sorry for the late release on the chapter. My family is having more health problems this time, stomach flu and cardiac surgery. I'll only be releasing two or three chapters this week. Sorry again for the delays.]
