Everybody's system

The point of a system is supposed to be to make the user the strongest right? unfortunately for our protagonist this does not seem to be the case, as everybody gets one, and his seems to be garbage. This is my first original work, I got slightly upset at all the system novels that set up a slow gain of power, then let the protagonist become op within 10 chapters, so I decided to write a system novel of my own where the protagonist can't shake the world with power until he earns it. Enjoy!

Ken Kong

Asher's friend was named Kenneth, called Ken by his friends and Kong by his enemies, he was one of a few people to have acquired "disciplined fighter" at age 18, and one of even fewer who had evolved it to "monk" before age 30. Ken was one of the few people who had reached out to Asher in school, Asher didn't know if it was because of his sky high wisdom or if he had high wisdom because he was just that kind of person but he was thankful all the same. Ken was one of two people outside of his family that Asher had ever been close to, though after leaving school they had drifted apart because Asher had gone to a small company that would hire him in spite of his stats and Ken had gone off to fight in the various "system cercuits" that had popped up all over the country and get stronger. Ken and Asher still had a gaming night most Fridays where they logged on and played something or another and chilled and had fun but this was the first time Asher would see him in person since high school.

Ken burst through the door like the true force of nature that he was and swept Asher into a massive bear hug, he was huge, almost a foot taller then the 5'10" Asher with arms that still looked brawny compared to his height. the monk signature skill "gentile fist" came into play here, raising his strength, agility, and dextarity based on a portion of his wisdom and vice versa (the boosts were based on the Stat before being boosted unfortunately) and considering Ken did nothing but fight, train, meditate and (secretly) run a dating advice blog almost all his stats were where he wanted them to be.

Asher laughed then gasped as the air was promptly knocked out of his lungs, he knew that Ken was being gentile (his spine would have been jelly otherwise) but dang was this man strong. Asher looked forward to the day he could return the hug in kind considering he was gaining stats like a madman now.

"So what's this amazing news you have for me?" Ken asked hartily while swinging Asher around like a rag doll "must be something pretty good for you to be this excited!"

in response Asher activated "grand deciever" while it was normally a skill for hiding stats it included a feature nicknamed "come clean" that allowed you to expose your Stat page as the user would see it and give the receiving party a %100 certainty it was accurate, just another reason it was a class skill, other Stat hiding skills would leave doubts in others minds no matter what.

Ken promptly dropped Asher into a pile when he saw the stats "320... luck..." he mumbled under his breath. a second later he shook off his stunned expression "so YOU were why the tournament this weekend was canceled!" he pointed to Asher, his big dumb grin belaying his accusing tone.

"The problem is" gasped Asher, still trying to put enough air in his lungs, "I still have no idea how luck actually works, and that's where you come in."
