His Suspicion

Nira pointed at their front. They were so close to the top of the mountain, but it seems their journey had to stop for the meantime as a figure approached them while wearing a mage's robe.

"Keep your heads up, this will be a tough battle."

Nira walked up and took the forefront of the party. She was the person most knowledgeable about magic in their party, so she had to take the lead.

And just as she suspected, another spell was coming towards them. This time, it wasn't a swift spell that's used for a surprise attack so it had more backbone into it. In other words, she can't cancel it as easily as the one before.

"Dispersing Caress."

Instead, she used a spell that redirects an attack in two directions. Although she didn't know what the spell the enemy used, its power should be substantially reduced and will give her enough time to prepare proper defenses.
