Noumu was a vagrant as an adventurer. Most of his game time did not encompass fighting against monsters nor dealing with customers as a trader. In his case, he spent his time speaking, affecting how others act, or even outright controlling their actions.

"I see. That is fine with me, Sir Noumu," Bob acknowledged his nonchalant request. He didn't have any grand reason to be in Buffet City anyway. "However, my companions may be against that notion."

Noumu looked onto May. He didn't care about Lavanuk as she's a contracted monster who will follow her owner everywhere, but May was a different story. She was an NPC that was traveling with a player.

'Is he on a quest?'

Thinking about it, he shouldn't interrupt another player's quest. With that in mind, he chose to withdraw and just had to ask Bob to meet up at a later time.
