The emperor's offer part 1

Rufus couldn't believe who was in front of him. He heard that Berig called him father, but he couldn't believe it was the emperor Ala himself.

He had never met him and didn't know what he looked like. The emperor then looked at his son with a look of disgust and utter disappointment.

He then turned around and looked straight into Rufus's eyes like he stared into his soul.

"Become mine and all this will be over," the emperor told him.

Rufus didn't know what he was talking about.

"I do not have a lot of patience so answer fast....submit to me and serve me and you and your friends will be spared," The emperor spoke again.

Rufus snapped out from his odder confusion.

"What do you mean?" Rufus asked.

The emperor looked disappointed.

"A pity....my patience is unfortunately short."

He then conjured flames, so fast and so strong that they killed at least twenty of the Ghersengs in a fraction of a minute.

As Rufus covered his face out of pure reflex, he then saw that he and Berig were unharmed by the flames.

Rufus then saw an enormous shadow behind the emperor, that was floating in the air behind a cloud of dust and smoke.

From the cloud, a large gravity ship came forth. It had two tall masts, with the imperial flag at the top.

From its side, tens of cannons popped out from firing holes ready to shoot at the allied and royal armies.

"I will give you one more time to give a worthy enough answer....king Rufus."'

Rufus felt irritated and with his sword in his hand tried to stab the emperor, thinking he could catch him by surprise. As he did, the sword melted as it got close, leaving the emperor unharmed.

The large gravity ship then unleashed its cannons on the royal and allied armies. At such close distance and with so many cannons aiming at them, the royal and allied armies were starting to disintegrate.

Rufus saw what the large warship was capable. His army and all his loyal warriors and soldiers were being torn apart.

The emperor then raised his hand and created a large flaming ball.

"Goodbye, king and Raja, Rufus Fairfax," the emperor said and was about to bring down his attack.

Just in the nick of time, Erik rode with his horse and aimed his sword at the emperor. The sword also melted, but it distracted the emperor enough for Erik to pick up Rufus on his horse and start riding away.

There were no expressions on the emperor's face as he saw Rufus escaping. The emperor then unleashed the fireball, causing a huge tidal wave of fire.

The large ball of flames turned into a tidal wave of fire that started to fall down on Rufus and Erik.

"Run, my friend, RUN!" Erik commanded and urged his horse to ride faster.

As the fire tidal wave was about to hit, the horse started to ride faster. The flames were just about to catch up to them but they were able to ride out of harm's way.

Erik stopped riding as they had gotten far away, enough where they could no longer spot the emperor.

"Are you okay my king?"Erik yelled as they had ridden out of danger

"I am fine. We have to now get to the rest and make sure that they flee now. WE HAVE TO FLEE!" Rufus yelled in almost a state of panic.

Their conversation was cut short as they saw something coming right at them with immense speed. The two of them saw flames, propelling something in the air like a rocket. It started to come down and fell right in front of them. The horse panicked and dropped both Rufus and Erik.

"You cannot flee from me..." the emperor said as he appeared again.

Erik took out his sword and tried to attack the emperor, but with just a wave of his hand, Erik was burned to a crisp.

"NOOOOOOO!" Rufus yelled.

The emperor looked disappointed and then bent the knee as to be with the same eye level as Rufus who was too tired to get off the ground.

"Look around. This is what happens when people do not serve me," Emperor Ala said and pointed to the battlefield.

The gravity ship was still shooting at his army, leaving no chance for them to retaliate. They tried to shoot with their own cannons, but they were destroyed quickly as a cannon shell hit them.

He had known many of his soldiers and grey skin warriors for a long time. People like Erik were important to him, but so was every person from a lowly infantryman to a tribal leader.

"What the hell do you want?!" Rufus yelled in utter rage.

"I want obedience and order....."
