Chapter ten

" Ari, I don't get why you're covering your hair with that scarf. Open it up" Beatrice said.

" No. I look like a fool. I'm so upset with Max" Ariana said taking out some books from her locker.

" Just let me see. I'm sure it's not that bad" Beatrice said.

" No Bea, it's horrible, you're gonna laugh at me after seeing my hair" Ariana said.

" Okay fine, I won't. Just let me see" Beatrice said.

         Ariana had been covering her hair with a scarf all day. When Beatrice had asked her why, she claimed that her hair was a mess and that was why she was insisting on covering her hair.

" Ari, did you hear what the principal said?" Casey asked. " Hi Beatrice" she greeted.

" Hi Casey" Beatrice greeted.

" What did the principal say" Ariana asked.

" He didn't really say anything. All he said was that we should meet him in the hall after lunch.

" Lunch? We don't even have lunch in this school anymore. It's always stolen" Beatrice said.

" Hmmmm. That's why I brought my lunch from home" Ariana said.

" But you know any single food brought into the school gets stolen and the cameras can't even find the thief because they're spoilt" Casey said

" Yeah, that's why I had it in my backpack the whole time" Ariana told them.

" But you know that's an offence, carrying food into the classroom" Beatrice chipped in.

" Yeah, that's why I hid it" Ariana said.

" I'd scold you if I hadn't done the same thing" Casey said.

" Wait a minute, I'm confused. Did you say you brought food to class?" Beatrice was shocked.

" Yeah" they chorused.

" Oh my, why didn't I think of this? Now I'm going to stay hungry for the rest of the day." Beatrice complained.

" Don't worry, I knew it'll happen so I brought lunch for two" Ariana said.

" Hmmm, let's get to class." Casey said and they both left.

" Thank God I have a friend like you." Beatrice complimented Ariana. " God alone knows what would have happened to me if you hadn't brought lunch for two.".

" Hmmmmmmmm." Ariana replied.

" Hey" Raymond walked in and as usual, all the girls were all over him.

" Ari, he is here." Beatrice said.

" Ugh. I'm leaving" Ariana said and stood.

" Where are you going?" Raymond asked.

" None of your business" Ariana said.

" You like acting dumb. Well, I'm not here for you. I'm here to order food. I just thought I'd greet your friend" he said.

" Really? You came to greet me?" Beatrice was excited.

" Don't get all excited" Raymond said arrogantly.

" Hmmmm. You're here to get food right? Then You should know that there is no food in school. Infact you should know that there has been no lunch in school for some time now" Ariana said.

" That's for suckers like you." He said before going to his table and to Ariana's surprise there was food there.

" How can you have food?" Ariana asked.

" He's a star Ari. Girls always provide him with food" Beatrice said.

" No kidding" Ariana said and they left.
