63 Nightmares

After driving for a long time they reached an isolated area which only consisted of few dried trees fit for firewood. The whole place had no sign of anyone being there.

They started searching everywhere. It was already dusky evening and anyone could barely see anything.

Chris pulled Edith towards him and said, "Stay near me it's dangerous"

Edith nodded her head and moved towards Chris. After searching the area for a while they reached almost middle of the forest and had a very creepy house which was burnt and barely was looking like a house. Looking in that direction Edith said, "Oh my god this house is giving a very weird vibes how could anything be so creepy.

Liam who looked worst now was shouting June's name like crazy and was running here and there. Walking towards him Chris told, "Let's go back and search somewhere else I have already activated our special team.

With tears in his eyes he sat near a tree and started crying his heart out. Keeping his arms on Liam's shoulders Chris was about sit down when he saw something shimmering in the night light.

Bending forward he took it in his hands and started examining it. Holding it in his hand Chris said, "Hey Liam do you know anything about this?"

Taking the bracelet from his hand Liam examined it carefully and said, "This-.."

"What happened?", Chris asked

Clutching onto the bracelet Liam said, "This is June's see my name is engraved on it"

During their honeymoon Liam had gifted June a custom made bracelet with his name engraved and he did wore the same kind with her name.

"Then let's look around come", Chris said before grabbing Edith's hand

But when Edith did not move Chris frowned and asked, "Babe what happened? Do you want to take some rest?"

Edith shook her head and said, "No, why don't we look in that house?"

Chris frowned and said, "But why will she go there? Look at that place is so creepy"

Edith grabbed Liam's hand and said, "June always had nightmares about being burnt inside a house in the forest"

"And this was the place June was found when she was eight"

Liam frowned and said, "What? I knew June was found in this forest but why didn't she tell me about the nightmares neither uncle William did?"

"Only I knew about it and she said she never had those dreams after marrying you maybe the happiness covered all her sorrows. She always said that you hovered all her sorrows and became the light of her life"

Liam's heart ached upon hearing that. His June had gone through so much pain, imagining that he blamed himself for not being there for her when she was going through all that.

"Liam let's not waste time and look in that house", Chris said before grabbing Edith's hand and assuring her he was there

All three of them entered house. The house looked so shabby, it barely had some roof on it, the floor was filled with dried leaves and it was stinky. Edith felt like puking but controlled herself and started looking for her bestfriend.

All three of them were shouting their lungs out. But heard no reply. Liam was feeling devastated and rested towards a wall, he started running his hands on his face. Even after looking for so long he couldn't find his June. Where was she? Was this the end? Or is June alright? What was the secret about June's past that June went missing in search of it?
