Chapter : 14 Restlessness and Chaotic

Beneath the scorching sun, with the wind carrying grains of glistening sand, Kayden exclaimed, 'I need to escape this unbearable heat.' As he floated in a round boat crafted from bundled dried leaves, seeking refuge beneath the shade of a coconut tree extending over the water.

As Kayden lay on his leafy vessel, his mind restless, a member of a bandit group called out to him, "Sir Kayden, your meal is prepared." Kayden dismissed him with a wave.

"Darn it, my confusion deepens with each passing day. Where on earth am I? These people's attire and their surroundings, it's all so peculiar," Kayden sighed, gazing up at the sky from the comforting shadows.

Time slipped by as Kayden floated along, and then he heard someone call his name, "Li Wei?" Kayden turned to see Li Wei approaching, a bowl of food in hand.

"You weren't coming, so I thought I should bring it here," Li Wei explained as he settled down beneath the coconut tree's shade. Kayden joined him, grateful for the company and the meal.

Munch! Muu....nch!........

"By the way, did you get any information about your comrades?" Kayden inquired.

Li Wei nodded, replying, "According to their Chief, they escaped while everyone was sleeping."

Upon hearing this, Kayden choked on his food and thought, "What kind of bandits are they?"

Meanwhile, not far off, In the blistering heat, poor Yu was practically turning into a human barbecue on that scalding sand. "I can't tolerate this anymore," he muttered, having been stranded there since the previous night.

Turning his gaze to his faithful horse, he asked, "What about you? Are you not feeling hot?" To his surprise, he noticed that the horse had already made its escape towards the water.

"The horse betrayed me. I thought we would live and die together," Yu lamented, sweat stinging his eyes.

Suddenly, he spotted something unusual in the distance—a sandball-like object hurtling towards him at high speed. "That doesn't look like a sandstorm," Yu remarked, a surge of adrenaline propelling him to his feet as he sprinted towards his tent.

"Help... hhaaaaa... help..." Yu cried out in panic,As if he is racing for his life. 

As Yu approached the tents, a palpable sense of urgency enveloped the area. People frantically grasped weapons and streamed out, abandoning their base in haste.

While near the oasis' cooling shade, Kayden voiced his concern, "What could have caused this sudden commotion?" He and Li Wei exchanged puzzled glances, observing the bandit members' chaotic departure.

Li Wei, his eyes fixed on the unfolding scene, discerned individuals hurling sand and dust into the sky. He couldn't help but ponder aloud, "Could it possibly be what I'm suspecting?" The worry in his voice hung in the air, thick with uncertainty.
