Chapter 13- Changes Pt. 1

Tru observed the new red finger of the Black Gauntlet as if it was all a dream. He changed it to Accessory mode and it was still the same except this time it has a small red band along it.

*ding*

Ifrit's Touch(Unique)(Passive)- Rank S:" A skill gained from restoring part of the Black Gauntlet's Power. Restores power to the pointer finger that grants increase mana regeneration and boosts power of Pyro Magic. Allows Explosive Release to be infused with Pyro mana for a fiery blast."

Tru fell backwards as he read the skill. His eyes were wide as though he didn't believe what he read. "…boosts power of pyro magic…increase mana regen. Shit I guess you are worth the trouble!"

Tru was so happy that he could almost kiss the bracelet when he got another notification.

He looked at the mission be for rolling his eyes at the red and black bracelet. "Can never have a simple moment can we? Always have to go and ruin it. Tru grumbled be fore clearing the notifications out until he stumbled upon one that caught his eye.

*ding*

'Blood of Luciel? Luciel as in Luciel Gloom THE FIRE GREAT!? Wait Im related to him?' Tru's got a slight headache from the new information he had just recieved. He stood up and breathed deep to calm himself.

"Never mind the skill, this Blood of Luciel is a big thing. The crazy part is mom nor dad ever said a word about him being an ancestor to either on or them. It's been over four centuries since anyone has seen a Great." Tru pondered heavily on this when Shadow hissed up at the trees in a defensive manner

Soon after the Necrocoil left Tru's Shoulder's and came back down with a hawk sized yellow bird. It was a Bloom Hawk, a Rank E creature with Aero Magic. It was strange to see the bird in the small snake's mouth. This was mainly because Bloom Hawks are known for their swift speed.

Shadows quickly chomped down and swallowed his prey while before returning to its previous resting place. It looked at Tru happily now that its stomach was full. The grey haired man just smiled and continued walking toward the Wanderers' fog.

"Sheesh just how big is this stupid Forest it's like it keeps expanding and getting larger. I figured I'd have made it there by now. UUUUUGGGH!" Tru tiredly grumbled in annoyance as Shadow nodded in agreeanxe to his complaint.

After a while the sun began to set as dusk arrived quickly. Tru began looking for a safe spot to sleep for the night. He eventually found a large burrow on the side of a sm hill.

He sent Shadow in to investigate in case there were any unwanted occupants. Though as quick as Shadow went in he swiftly came out indicating the burrow wasn't that large. Tru was just small enough to go in and rest.

He put the Black Gauntlet in Standard mode and went to sleep, with Shadow on his shoulders keeping watch. The night past and Tru woke up alone in the burrow. Shadow was nowhere to be found.

He quickly exited in worry that something might have happened when he put and saw Shadow feasting on another Bloom Hawk. Though the only difference is that Shadow was much larger, by a foot at least.

Once the Necrocoil finished its meal it happily slithered over to Tru. It's face had a sort of smile as if it was happy to see him awake. It climbed up and rested on his shoulders not knowing it was a bit heavier than before. Although it wasn't anything Tru couldn't handle.

"Been eating well I see, hmm? Guess it's right when they say kids grow up fast, though you aren't exactly a kid well human child." Tru stroked the onyx colored snakes back as he strolled through some tall grass.

The mission popped up at the right time as Tru and Shadow approached a group of what looked like yellow ant eaters. They were searching through the tall grass eating extremely large ants at a face pace.

"Alright Shadow let's go." He crouched down and Shadow got off as the two crept slowly towards them. Tru counted seven Yellow Eaters.

"Alright Shadow you go in first and I'll follow in after you alright?" Tru circled around to the other side as Shadow slithered forward toward the group. It watched as the creatures were unaware of his presence when he collected a medium amount of black mana into and orb in its mouth.

It shot the Shadow Orb forward at the of a Yellow Eater. It burst with a small pop that splashed out like black ink. The Yellow eater fell over and breathed no more. The others were alerted by the sound of an attack and saw the corpse of their kin.

Shadow swiftly slid in and wrap itself around one of the necks of one and squeeezed hard as he could. It also used Shadow Fang and bit into it repeatedly until it fell still.

*ding*

"Constrict(Active)-Rank E: "Skill allows user to wrap body or long limb around target and squeeze tightly."

"Ssssskkaaaasssss"

Shadow hisssing loudly and raw up to show its size against the beast when it was hit with a Rock pillar. Tru watched in embarrassment as Shadow flew far off across the field.

He couldn't help but smack himself when he jumped out to where the Yellow Eaters were, his red aura blazing. He gathered up the red mana and began to shoot it when a notification appeared.

"Pyro Magic: Fire Shot"

*ding*

"Pyro Magic detected, Ifrit's touch now active."

The red finger of the black gauntlet glowed a deep scarlet red. It drew in all the red mana within 20 feet. It collected all it could till its glow made it look like it was burning. It then released the scarlet mana into Tru.

As the mana entered Tru the aura it made looking like it was cooking the air but it felt warm and comforting for Tru. Once the mana finished transferring to Tru the Black Gauntlet went back to its normal black and red state.

*ding*

"Ifrit's Touch complete"

"Fire Shot has now changed to Ifrit's Shot"

Ifrit's Shot(Unique)(Active)- Rank E: "An upgraded version of Fire Shot due to the Black Gauntlet. Shoots out a burst of three fire balls at a time. 25% Chance to ignite target for 2 seconds. UNIQUE SKILL CANNOT BE TAUGHT OR TRANSFERRED.

Cooldown: 15 seconds

Three small balls of a deep red fire shot out and hit one of the Yellow Eaters. They exploded as the magical beast caught on fire. Once the fire went out the only thing left was a charred skeleton and its magic stone.

Tru didn't stop his attack to admire but instead grabbed another Yellow Eater and blasted it backwards while it left a long crater. The creature got up and was badly injured. It slowly used Burrowing to dig an escape tunnel.

Tru waited for it to surface when he was sent flying in the air from a Rock Pillar underneath him. He shot in to the air several feel before landing on the ground with a hard thud.

'Ok…not goin to lie. Ugh that really really hurt. Like really hurt." He moaned in pain and stood up as he wiped the blood from his lip. "Ok fine since it's going to be like that, can't blame me."

He ran at the magical beasts when Shadow appeared from the grass and wrapped itself around one. The momentum carried the two beast in to the tall grass and they disappeared.

The rest of the Eaters became weary of another surprise when Tru hit another with Ifrit's Touch. It fell over as it caught fire and went limp. From his right a Eater stood up and began slashing at him with its long sharp claws.

He evaded and deflected the flurry of blows before stabbing the Black Gauntlet in its chest leaving it to topple over. The Black Gauntlet absorbed it's magic stone.

*ding*

"Rank F Magic Stone absorbed"

Tru looked back as the other magic beast took a few steps back. He readied another Ifrit's Shot while the scarlet red glow made him look like a demon.

"Come on now tell me, who hit me with that Rock Pillar?"
