James bet

They spend a couple of minutes walking in circles when James becomes confused, looking around.

"The thing is...I want to send you back...but something is holding you back..."

"Holding me back?"Alex responds, he looks at the ground as they move from one spot to the next.

"I am the Crystal Queen's Disciple of Death, this is something I can do, but you need to help me, Alex..."

"How do we get out of here then?" Alex asks sluggishly, James reaches for his fingers smiling.

"I sense a deep loneliness in you Alex...you need to stand up to your issues."

He understood perfectly what he meant, but did not know where to start; loud hissing and roars in the distance could be heard when footsteps leading to being surrounded by a small army of spiders in varying sizes made them become aware they were followed.

Coming from the back the two smaller ranks under Avic come forward, "Who dares takes Alex?"One of the twin's replies, the other seems to recognize James immediately.

"Is the Crystal Queen awake now James?"

"That is up to me to know...for now I will be taking this man back with me."

"His body must be frozen stiff by now...Alex please come with us..." The other twin says sticking her hand out beckoning him, he only latches tighter to James's neck causing him to choke out.

"It's okay Alex, I got you!" James cackles with a grin.

"He has been here long enough we can do this..."The main twin makes a signal causing Alex to faint, his body vanishes.

James peeks to the back of him shocked, "Alex...where are you?" James bellows out distressed, Avic presents herself, Alex drops from the air into her hands comatose.

"Lovely seeing you again James, it's nice seeing your pretty mug here at least."

"I have no time to play with you Avic, give him back to me right now!" He threatens, she only steps back sneaking a smirk from the sidelines.

"This is not your domain James, did you forget the rules of this game already?"

"Shit fine, but you forget something I don't play anyone's rules Avic!"James states making motions, hands of a ghostly purple start to lurk out from his back waving and wriggling.

Avic pushes her hand out sending a blue wave hitting him in the stomach, James wakes up in shock touching his clothing and stomach gauging what happened, he makes his way to the bed to have Trinity nod her head, "Christian had to leave so no one would suspect him, James..."

"Lady Trinity...I failed, but it's far from over."

"He became cold again so I could tell something happened...but it is not your fault."

They both observe Alex laying on the bed in deep sleep, "He has a better chance than what Gavyn...Gavyn...wait will Christian be back soon?"

"What are you planning?"

"I have no idea, Lady Trinity...I just got to wing it."James laughs nervously, he goes back into position to go back into a hypnotic state too rapidly, he sprints back throwing his arms out calling the twins.

"You are back for more I see..." One of the twins says annoyed by his repeated appearance, she was about to wave her hands, but he stops her.

"Take me to Alex or if Avic has him then wherever that is," James asks sternly, his whole body shakes to the point you could see his legs quivering.

With the snap of their fingers, he is there viewing Avic sitting on a large throne, Alex lays at her feet resting on his side as a doll tossed to the ground with his eyes closed.

James apprehensively bows at her feet with the look of delight on his face, he raises his pointer finger in the air trembling with a rogue look on his face.

"If I can get through his heart then he is allowed to wake up Avic!"

"What do I get if you lose?"

"Well isn't it obvious, I am a total package after all!" James boasts, she licks her lips looking at his body, his face twinges with redness as she looks him up and down.

She gets up from the throne to get a better visual examination of how he looks, "I will remove the curse if you lose...you are too pretty to be wasted like that."

"Wait what? You are telling me you can remove the curse?" James shouts tumbling to his knees scared for his life the second she admitted she could reverse the effects of the spell.

"But instead you wasting your bet on this lowly creature far below you."

"This is why I don't deal with demon books, you all have a hierarchy that looks down on others!"

"Rise, Alex..." Avic asks, his eyes empty as he perched his arms on her knees, positioning her fingers on his back.

He is terrified of the implications of his bet vigilant as he brings Alex in for a kiss, grossed out by the fact he might be abused mentally and physically if he is caught in defeat.

Jumping up yanks Alex by the collar, "Avic give him full consciousnesses you harpy!"

"If what you got to say is so important it should be able to penetrate his heart."

"I am going to penetrate yours in the process, you shrewish woman!"
