Chapter 1 (Pre-Reincarnation)

December 27th, 1776, Ascarno Calendar.

In the continent of Ascarno many dwarves and humans are gathered around a small stone home in the middle of Ashland and seem to be filled with excitement, in the front of the group is an old dwarf which is quite tall for their race and covered in small scars. The dwarf is wearing a small apron jumping around and enacting scenes from a story he's telling; "The repetitive hammering of steel against the anvil had me entranced and I was lured into the workshop of the man that I didn't know would forever change my life."

A young dwarf with a disheveled blonde beard and rough hair is peeking his head through a crooked door, holding his ear up while a rhythmic ~tang~ is heard ringing through the air; ~tang~, ~tang~, ~tang~. As hammer meets hot steel more and more ~tang~ sounds are created and the young dwarf peers his head closer as sweat begins to build up on his face from the hot air produced by the forge. "I had seen the man hammering away rhymically on an anvil, forging a new blade", a dark gray blade with a rim of shining blue and purple intertwined to create a runic shape on the edge, the blade had an overall tint of orange as it was hammered repeatedly with a green hammer.

The hammer swung down again and again as the man called out to the shadows "I know you're there come on don't just watch, come and sit by the forge and learn something instead of staying there awestruck." as the young dwarf approached him the light from the forge lifted the shadows on his figure, you could see the man had large amounts of white stubble with brown spots mixed in. The man was kind faced and had a large scar across the cheek. He continued to strike the steel rhythmically; ~tang~, ~tang~, ~tang~, the green hammer glistened in the forge's light which revealed it's blue tones and inscriptions. A large blue inscription was revealed saying it's name; "Eldwin" a forging hammer made of orichalcos and mithril which strengthened it's structure even more than either by itself. The man put his hand to a seat next to him and patted on it holding a gentle expression, "Now come here sonny. Learn a thing or two from a grandpa before he passes."

The old dwarf pulls out the same green hammer "Eldwin", but now beaten and battered. "Next he-". "SMITH! YOUR CHILD IS CRYING. GET IN HERE!" a human woman from inside shouted to the dwarf as he began to get up before apologizing to everyone, "I promise I'll finish the story tomorrow. I am sorry everyone but my wife is calling me!" after entering his home we can see everyone leaving with astonished and disappointed expressions or inbetween.

A human and two dwarves were walking quite out of pace of each other, the human was walking erratically stopping and starting randomly and having sudden mood shifts as they spoke; "Why'd the story have to end there! But then again, the suspense makes me like it even more... BUT WHAT IF HE FORGETS ABOUT IT! Man... why does Smith always tell such great stories?" while the dwarves just nodded their heads.
