Adrian immediately notices something different, 'Hmm? It looks like the mana threshold has doubled by onefold. My stats also have increased by one point.'

He grasped his fist repeatedly. The difference in strength is noticeable to him. Adrian looked around.

'That spot seems good.' He walked toward a part of the tree root and took a stance.

He punched it with his fist. The pain felt less than he remembered. It confirmed his body strength has increased.

With sufficient mana he has, he intends to check out other skills he has.

In an instant, his sight was dragged up to the sky causing him to panic for a moment. Aries's voice echoed in his head once again.

A long floating search bar appears in front of him. With it comes a holographic keyboard for him to type.

'It's a search engine. Let's test its internet speed.'

'Alright. What should I search for?' He thinks for a moment before his eyes lighten up. His finger begins typing on the keyboard.

Adrian searched for the news about his accident. Surprisingly, the accident got big. It starts when his friends try to reach him a few times. Worried about his well-being, his friends spread the news through the university's social media and it when viral.

After a few days, they finally get a lead. Someone manages to sniff out the MPV that hit Adrian.

"I knew it. That MPV run away from the scene."

The remnant of his car was discovered but they didn't find his body. A search and rescue mission was organised to find Adrian. The entire forest was explored to find his whereabouts but to no avail.

The case was classified as an unsolved case. Many people step out on social media making their own speculation. Some suggest Adrian's disappearance is related to supernatural activity. They said he found a gate to another dimension.

Adrian chuckled, "They would never know how accurate their prediction is."

His eyes catch several familiar figures, his family. His father joins the SAR mission together with the authorities. All of them look unkempt.

Adrian tries to speak but he feels like there is a lump in his throat. Tears began to wet his eyes. He can see them yet he is unable to communicate. He stops crying after a while and calms himself down.

Life must go on. He will be watching them from here. He hopes they quickly forget about him and live their life.

"Aries, how do I use magic?"

[There are two ways. For beginners, use mana in your body by channelling it out. A certain type of mana will interact and cause a reaction to a certain type of element. In your case, it's earth. Experts manipulate the mana available in the air and only use mana in the body when necessary. The higher the expertise, the less they use mana within them]

Adrian holds out his hand and directs it toward the ground. He feels the mana running in his vein gushing to his palm.

"Aries, I manage to channel it out. What should I do next?"

"Fine, I will do it myself."

Adrian imagines a forty centimetres wall made from earth emerging from the ground.

The ground in front of him suddenly shakes. An earth wall twice his height emerges. At the same time, he feels mana leave his body.

Dunirr is a race that never involves in magic or associated with it. Nobody ever thought Dunirr can use magic including Dunirr themselves. It is a completely blank field.

Adrian practises a few other moves he has in mind.

"Earth spike"

A sharp spike rise from the ground.

"Earth ball"

The earth slowly moves to form a ball shape.

"Earth spike ball"

Adrian combines the Earth Spike with Earth Ball.

"I see. So, it's really up to my imagination and creativity.

After doing some experiment, he can conclude that the amount of mana consumed depend on size and scale. For example, mana consumes by one large earth spike is larger than mana consume by ten small earth spikes. The same go for the earth wall, the higher and wider the wall, the more mana is consumed.

[Owner, you don't have to shout the name when using magic]

"Err... I know but I have been dreaming of using magic. There are no people here anyway. Oh yea, one more thing. Can other Dunirr use magic too?"

[They can but you need to teach them]

By mastering magic, Dunirr has a chance to stand toe to toe with other races. Adrian wants to end the era of weak Dunirr and the era of magic Dunirr is coming.
