Who is he?

Reaching the mansion, she went straight to the study room and pulled out all the letters she received from the unknown sender.

She placed all the letters on the table trying to make a comparison to see if there was any clue.

The only difference was today's letter which had an additional message

The letters were all written in a neat handwritten all looking similar.

Evelyn felt frustrated, she stared at the letters scattered across the table. Just as she leaned back on her chair, Suddenly, a strong gust of wind swept through the room slamming shut all the doors with a loud thump

In an instant, the room was bathed with darkness it was as if the outside world had been swallowed by a sudden void

Startled, Evelyn shot up from her chair, her hands shaking slightly as her heart thumped loudly she took a step forward trying to look for the nearby night lamp she always used but could not find any.

She cautiously took a step forward in the eerily quiet atmosphere

Just as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, her Amethyst hair began to glow in the dark. images began to flow in her mind, images of her hometown drenched in bloodshed

Evelyn felt a shiver down her spine, her trembling hands gripped her dress tightly, and she felt a surge of panic as the scene played before her eyes

People were screaming, the sound of crashing and shattering glasses and the scent of blood mixed with smoke lingered in the air. She struggled to close her eyes but couldn't. Evelyn then saw a family of four in a cottage house, she found them all unfamiliar except the young boy who quietly stood close to his father.

She found him familiar, he looked like… him

Sial Night!

But why was he here? In Lianhua town? and why are they not running for safety

Evelyn felt a surge of pain, her head was banging. She closed her eyes and continuously shook her head

There, Another scene played out, the young Sial stood emotionlessly in the very burnt cottage house. Tears rolled down his face but he didn't utter a sound. Instead he he stared at her with a murderous glare.

Evelyn unconsciously stretched out her hand but before she could touch him, the scene shifted.

In a blur, She caught a glimpse of a figure standing a few feet away from her. Their face was covered by shadows making it impossible to see their feature. Despite the shadow, Evelyn found the figure familiar but could not quite place it.

The figure took a step forward and Evelyn instinctively took a step back, she squinted her eyes trying to make out the person's features but the shadows continued to cover the person's identity.

Suddenly the figure spoke up. "Come back" the voice echoed through the room

Evelyn's heart skipped a beat. She recognized the voice but couldn't quite place it.

"Come back" the figure repeated

Evelyn took a step back, her mind racing. She knew she had heard that voice before, but her memory was failing her at the moment. She searched through her mind for anything that could help her identify the person in front of her at the moment.

With each passing moment, the silence in the room became deafening. The only sounds were the uneven breathing of Evelyn and the occasional creaking of the floor as the figure took another step closer

Evelyn's thoughts were scattered, her mind filled no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't recall where she had heard that voice before.

Unable to withstand the suspense any longer, she finally spoke up, her voice wavering slightly. "Who...who are you?"

The figure paused for a moment, its face still shrouded in shadows. It seemed to be studying Evelyn as if contemplating whether to respond or not. After a few agonizing seconds, it spoke again.

"You know who I am," the voice said, "You just can't quite remember, can you?"

Evelyn felt a sudden rush of frustration. The figure's words had hit a nerve, and she longed to remember who was standing before her.

Sensing her frustration, the figure chuckled softly, the sound sending chills down Evelyn's spine. "What's wrong?" it asked, "Are you having trouble putting together the puzzle pieces?"

Evelyn clenched her fists by her sides, struggling to keep her emotions in check. She took a deep breath and steadied her voice before replying,

"I know you," she began. "I just don't remember who you are."

The figure chuckled once more, "Getting warmer" Its tone sounded particularly emotionless, "But still cold"

Evelyn gritted her teeth, she hated being taunted like this, especially by a faceless stranger. She steadied her breath.

"Fine," she said through clenched teeth, "Tell me your name"

The figure paused for a moment, it moved a step closer and silently stood there. After what seemed like an eternity, it spoke up in a serious tone.

"Sweetheart, it not my identity you should be after but his"

"Who is he?" Evelyn asked hurriedly

Just then a burst of light filled the room causing Evelyn to flinch. As the harsh brightness filled the room, Evelyn shielded her eyes with her hand, trying to adjust to the sudden change in lighting. When she eventually lowered her hand and looked around, the figure was gone.

She stood alone in the room, her heart pounding in her chest and her mind swirling with questions. Who was that figure? And who was the "he" it mentioned? And why did they disappear just as they were about to reveal their identity?

Evelyn took a few shaky breaths, trying to calm herself down. It seemed that she would have to continue searching for the truth.

Just then she felt a sudden gush of weakness and fainted.
