Chapter 14: The Encounter with Monster Carrot

Author's Note:

Monster Carrot has been connected to a shape-shifting school, adding a new layer to his abilities while balancing it with a specific weakness to avoid making it overpowered. As for Goku's Uzaru transformation, I've decided not to create a controlled technique for it just yet, as Goku's current strength is more than sufficient until Vegeta arrives.Lastly, I've also made some changes to Launch (Lazuli) based on some great suggestions I found online. Thanks for all your support

Goku, Bulma, and Oolong flew into a bustling city to get some gas for Bulma's bike. The city was alive with activity, people hurrying about their business, completely oblivious to the small, unusual trio that had just landed. Goku, with his cheerful demeanor, contrasted sharply with the serious faces of the city's inhabitants, but no one seemed to pay them much attention.

After refueling, as they were about to leave, two men with peculiar bunny ears approached them. They had an air of arrogance about them, and the taller one stepped forward, blocking their path with a smirk.

"Hey, where do you think you're going?" the tall man sneered, eyeing Bulma and Oolong. His companion, shorter and stockier, cracked his knuckles menacingly.

Bulma rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed. "We don't have time for this. Let's go, Goku."

Before they could move, the two men moved to block their way again. "Not so fast," the taller one said. "You need to pay a toll if you want to leave. And maybe a little extra for some... entertainment," he added with a lecherous grin.

Goku, sensing trouble, stepped forward calmly. "I don't think you want to do this," he said, his voice steady and confident.

The shorter man snickered. "Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it, kid?"

Without missing a beat, Goku swiftly knocked both men out with two precise punches. They crumpled to the ground, unconscious before they even had a chance to react.

"Well, that was easy," Oolong muttered, looking down at the two men sprawled on the pavement.

But just as they were about to leave, the two men, now groaning on the ground, reached for a radio and called for backup. "Boss... we need backup... it's the Carrot Clan's turf..." one of them mumbled into the device before slipping into unconsciousness.

Within moments, a large shadow fell over them. Goku turned to see a giant rabbit standing before them, dressed in a suit and hat. The rabbit's cold eyes gleamed with malice as he stared down Goku and his friends.

"The name's Monster Carrot," the rabbit said, his voice deep and menacing. "And you just made a big mistake messing with my men."

Bulma, visibly annoyed, stepped forward and raised her hand to slap the rabbit. "How dare you—"

But Goku quickly grabbed her wrist, stopping her. "Wait, Bulma! Don't touch him!" Goku warned, recalling the anime's events involving Monster Carrot.

"What? Why not?" Bulma asked, confused.

"He has a special power. If you touch him, he'll turn you into a carrot!" Goku explained, keeping his eyes locked on Monster Carrot.

Bulma's eyes widened in disbelief. "A carrot? You've got to be kidding me!"

Goku was serious. He turned his attention back to Monster Carrot, his mind racing with ideas. "System," Goku asked mentally, "can you copy this rabbit's ability?"

The system responded swiftly. "Yes, but it will require one-third of technique energy."

Goku's excitement dimmed when he saw the cost. "300,000 ki energy?!" he thought, astonished. He had only 75,000 ki energy stored in his crystal, making it clear he couldn't afford the technique at the moment.

Goku's energy reserves allowed for techniques up to 115,000 ki energy. With a sigh, he realized he'd have to handle this situation the old-fashioned way.

"Alright, Mr. Monster Carrot," Goku said with a grin, "how about you share your technique with me?"

Monster Carrot laughed, his deep voice echoing through the city square. "You think you can make me give up my power? You've got guts, kid. But you're in over your head."

"We'll see about that," Goku replied, his smile unwavering.

The ensuing fight was quick but intense. Despite Monster Carrot's unique ability, he was no match for Goku's speed and strength. Goku deftly avoided the rabbit's touch, landing blow after blow until Monster Carrot was on the ground, battered and bruised.

"Alright, alright! Stop!" Monster Carrot pleaded, raising his hands in surrender. "I'll tell you about the technique!"

Goku stepped back, allowing the rabbit to catch his breath.

"This technique... it's an advanced form of shapeshifting," Monster Carrot gasped between breaths. "It's taught in the Shapeshifting School, but I've perfected it over the years. It lets me turn anyone I touch into a carrot... but only if they're weaker than me."

Goku's eyes narrowed. "So it doesn't work on stronger opponents?"

Monster Carrot shook his head. "No... and my version of the technique is incomplete. I never managed to master it fully."

Goku thought for a moment, then grinned. "I'll take it anyway."

Monster Carrot explained the basics of his technique. Once Goku understood it, he turned to the system. "Can you complete this technique?"

The system paused before responding. "Yes, but it will require 100,000 ki energy to complete."

Goku's heart sank. Spending 100,000 ki would leave him almost depleted. Still, the potential of the technique was too great to pass up.

"Alright," Goku said reluctantly. "Do it."

The system absorbed the incomplete technique and used Goku's ki energy to complete it. As the energy drained from his reserves, Goku felt a slight twinge of regret, but he knew he had made the right choice.

Once the process was complete, the system presented the fully developed technique to Goku. "The technique is now complete," the system informed him. "You can now turn any opponent weaker than yourself into any object you desire, not just a carrot."

Goku grinned, satisfied with the new addition to his arsenal. "Thanks, system. This will definitely come in handy."

Turning back to Monster Carrot and his gang, Goku said, "Now that I've got what I wanted, you'd better stop causing trouble around here. If I hear about you bothering people again, we'll have another meeting—and trust me, you don't want that."

Monster Carrot and his gang quickly nodded in agreement, too intimidated to argue.

As Goku, Bulma, and Oolong flew away from the city, the townspeople cheered, relieved to be rid of the Carrot Clan's tyranny. Goku smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Although he felt a bit drained after spending so much ki energy, Goku knew the new technique would be invaluable. With this power, he was better prepared for the challenges that lay ahead. The journey continued, and with each step, Goku felt more ready for whatever came next.
