Chapter 2 Goodbye

The being did warn that I wouldn't be awake to experience it, but I still thought that I would have felt something. I didn't.

I woke to my mother. She seemed worried at first, probably because I didn't cry, but her face lit up in happiness as soon as I opened my eyes. It was contagious.

She was beautiful. The way that even visibly tired she radiated happiness, just changed the way you looked at her.

Truthfully it wasn't because I was her son, wavy white hair, a pleasant rounded face, the way that you could just feel her mood and her warm gold, more orange than yellow, eyes made her beautiful, they grabbed you're attention and did not let go.

"Chen Jin"

My name, it wasn't the first time that I heard it. But it felt different now, it felt mine.

Mother continued talking, always smiling, but I couldn't understand, it hurt, she was crying now, and I knew it was not just happiness, she was unnaturally pale, it started slowly, but it got worse.

There was no one in the room with us, she had gone into labour alone, and she wasn't in the best of health already, something had happened during the pregnancy, at the time I couldn't feel the outside yet, just mother, and she was Hurt. She did not recover, and I never heard father again.

She leaned down and kissed my forehead, she was saying something, I got the feeling she was saying sorry. She leaned my to her breast, I was focused on her face, I didn't notice it was out. She fed me, always smiling, always crying, I could feel her energy slowly bleeding away, along with her life.

I was full, I could feel myself starting to fall asleep, I resisted. She laughed a bit, smiled down at me and kissed my forehead again, a bit of her energy left her and entered me.

The last thing I saw before sleep took me were her warm golden eyes, happy, but sorrowful and her tears.

A sad chapter, but I needed him to have a great degree of freedom since young, and no sane parent would allow that (Tang Hao was not sane nor a good parent).

The death of his parents is relevant for the first 13/15 years of his life.

You can also probably guess to who he is related through is mother, but is spirit won't be a sword, his mother's was though.

He won't be a member of the sect, though he will be close.
