Chapter 38: the 3rd spirit ring!

what can be seen using the naked after the illusion broken is pure white, a fox with pure white fur without any blemish, and 4 tails on its back waving around.

"Arctic Snow Fox, a top-class Spirit beast. normally live in the northern region known for its speed being far above other spirit beasts of the same level it also has the capability to hide perfectly in the snow when hunting, yet the book of continental spirit beast has no record of it being a spiritual type beast which means this fox is either a mutated one or a result of crossbreed."

"the age and its skill is just right for my third ring, four of you go and try to surround the fox while attacking, this fox is a speed-type beast with low attack power and if it able to escape we will have a hard catching up to it."

while explaining Lin Tian summons his first and second spirit skill and directly spray it to his bodyguard, the four is not surprised with this since they have received his buff previously when sparring with each other.

after receiving the buff the four of them directly confront the arctic fox while trying to surround it from 4 directions. the fight begins as Xu Ho and his brother start possession of their martial spirit, the three Xu brothers have the same type of beast Martial spirit which is the Silverback wolf. while Su Ning martial spirit is a tool martial spirit in form of a Spear.

being in a Spirit beast hunting previously the four of them have a great experience and able to surround the fox easily and as Lin Tian expect the fox tried to use another illusion in order to run away, but before the illusion formed Lin Tian broke it with spiritual shock.

receiving the backlash from the spiritual shock the arctic fox slowed down considerably and not passing this chance the four of them start attacking making the fox receive wounds of various degree, the fox was confused about why its illusion keeps breaking but it knows if this keeps up it will definitely be killed by the four attacking human sooner or later.

it uses its claw, fang, tails, and even its illusion to try to separate itself from the four direction formation but ended with no result.

the fox also took notice that the human at the back is not attacking at all and it considers the human as a weak one based on its experience fighting against a human.

but as the fox getting close to Lin Tian suddenly took out a pair of swords with chains connected on its handle from his storage, without any pause Lin Tian uses the chain to bind the fox instantly and pierce its neck with the sword to finish it.

the fox stagnates its eyes show unwillingness and confusion why this weak human was able to kill it instantly.

"I'm ok Xu Ho, now that the spirit beast is taken care you guys can go and keep a lookout for me. I'm going to start absorbing the spirit ring soon."

a purple spirit ring finally comes out from the fox's dead body, Lin Tian sits cross leg and absorbs the ring. the absorption was easy and smooth without any problem. his body already at Spirit king's level while his spiritual power is higher than the fox which can be seen by how Lin Tian easily destroys the illusion.

inside his mind-space just like before after Lin Tian defeat the spirit beast's soul the mysterious gourd came out and absorb the spirit ring. but this time the gourd not only spit the spirit ring back but also a large amount of black cloud-shaped clump of energy.

without any preparation the ring and the black energy directly mix with Lin Tian's body, receiving the sudden large influx of energy all he can do now is to run his cultivation technique and tried to consume the energy as soon as possible before he explode from saturation of energy.

in the process, Lin Tian's Spirit power starts to change and now has traces of black color inside it while at the same time his body strength increase bit by bit every time this energy flow around his meridian.

luckily although the sudden influx of energy is a lot this energy is not violent at all and was able to mix with his spirit power easily with his cultivation technique.

in the outside world, Lin Tian has been sitting for a few hours and the sun is setting soon, just as the four bodyguards started to get worried about his condition the purple spirit ring above Lin Tian's head starts to merge inside him as a sign that his absorption is finally complete.
