Chapter 169

''You dare to be distracted when fighting me?'' Daniel's mocking voice appeared, as his face appeared behind Samuel.

The sword slashed down, only to be blocked by a floating lily pad. With this battle Samuel had gotten better and better at dealing with the Lily Pads.

There were easily twenty or thirty Lily pads, and they would only increase as the tree's strength increases.

But to Samuels dismay, he found that he needs to absorb double the amount of Aura to break through. And he needs another source of energy, Vitality.

Samuel sensed that he wouldn't win easily. So his body flashed and disappeared, slowly reappearing above the bodies of dead Simpson soldiers.

Out of the base of the Lily pads, vine-like tentacles spread out pouring into the bodies of each of the bodies.

Slowly but surely the skin turned grey and wrinkled as the vitality was sucked up by Samuel.

The Dark Guards protecting the Oak Tree back on BlueStar saw that it slowly started to grow. The leaves turned greener and the bark clearly strengthened slightly.

More relevant to Samuel however, was the Lily Pads growing slightly in size.

Vitality could be passed on by living creatures, but it would lower their Lifespan. Normally, Samuel relies on the Vitality absorbed from Dogs of War when their Lifespan is large enough to lose some.

But he can absorb it as well. Such a battlefield is a perfect opportunity for him.

The Oak Tree can grow with Spiritual Energy, but the amount is much higher than if it was Vitality.

''What the hell are you doing?'' Daniel saw the strange tentacles and panicked at the unknown. He could clearly sense that the pain in the ass Lily Pads were getting stronger.

And his fears came true. Samuel finished absorbing the many corpses on the field, and he flew towards Daniel.

The battle began rough, trading hit for hit. But neither of them were hitting their actual bodies.

Samuel would bounce back against the golden film, while Daniel would be blocked by the whirling Lily pads.

In the end however, Victory was Samuels. He didn't spend much energy to maintain the Lily pads action. While Daniel had to spend a lot of energy to ensure the black bone shield and his golden shield were active.

''Huah!'' Samuel grunted as a heavy hit smashed against the golden film in front of him. And heaved a sigh of relief when it shattered into particles of light.

Daniel finally revealed panic.

''Sir!'' His attendant knocked EG1 back and flew to his master.

''You lost.'' Samuel calmly spoke. The Lily Pads floating behind him like large green wings.

''You think you won? No this is just temporary. I will be back for revenge!'' Daniel sneered, as he pulled out a small crystal. With pain in his eyes he cracked it.

A puff of air covered him and his attendant, the black light swirled around like tentacles grasping the floating Artifacts left by Daniels Subordinates.

''Crap!'' Samuel covered his face as the tidal waves of air knocked him and EG1 back.

''They escaped!'' Samuel shouted in anger. Such an escape isn't good for him. He could sense that they were no longer on this plane, clearly that crystal let them return somewhere else.

And he didn't doubt it was back to where his parents were.

Although Samuel wasn't worried about a super strong warrior coming to attack him, he definitely wasn't looking forward to Daniel's revenge. After all, his father is also a High Rank 2 Warrior.

And Samuel knows that Daniel's father has hundreds of children! After hundreds of years, and the benefits of boosters many of the Children have 2 Inch Spiritual Roots.

Many of these Children have created their own forces with the Simpson Family Influence. Not to mention even more of them have been placed in charge of the Simpson Family subsidiary planes.

The amount of warriors they have is unknown to Samuel. And this is Daniels fathers branch. Not to mention Samuel is sure Daniel likely has many uncles.

If he comes to cause trouble Samuel would definitely struggle to defend the plane.

But there was not much he could do now. Helplessly he ordered EG1 to go help EG2 who was fighting against the Middle Rank 2 Warriors.

With the benefit of another High Rank 2 Warriors, the Simpson warriors were quickly slain. Finally after another two hours all of the warriors were killed.

Quickly the Dogs of War collected the bodies and the resources before marching onto the Capital City.

Many mortals have watched the fight unfold, when they saw their leader run and the mighty army die, they panicked and didn't even put up any resistance.

Samuel quickly occupied the Capital City and arrived at the treasury within the Capital.

He kicked open a large wooden door, and watched as a giant stone hammer swung down towards him.

The lily pads tilted slightly dispersing the power of the giant hammer. Samuel looked calmly at the stone. But the Dogs of War behind him had a faint sweat on their faces.

Such a heavy stone could definitely squash anyone below High Rank 2.

But Samuel just passed by it carefully. The first thing that came into his vision in the treasury was a row of stone human figures. But more importantly it was the shining armour on their bodies.

This is the same Armour that Samuel had seen on the Blue Armour Generals. He could clearly tell that these one hundred sets of Armour were all Pseudo-Artifacts!

Insane!

Clearly this is sets of armour for the elites. The Shining blue armour is definitely powerful even if Samuel doesn't know its origin.

As for why Daniel didn't equip the armour on his warriors, of course Samuel knew the Answer. A full set of Pseudo-Artifact equipment is well beyond what a Rank 1 Warrior can control.

The amount of Spiritual Energy just to move with it is well beyond what they have in their bodies.

Only Low Rank 2 Warriors could barely use a full set, while a Middle Rank 2 is necessary to bring out its full benefits.

Unfortunately Samuel only has two Middle Rank 1 Warriors right now. Caterpillar and Serpentine Samuel.

So this hundred sets of armour are destined to collect dust until Samuel has a good use for it.

Then he continued to walk in. Common stuff like Herbs and Materials aren't qualified to be in Daniels treasury. There were still many warehouses around out in the Plane that Samuel hadn't looted.

However as he continued, he saw a small rack. On the rack were five black rings!
