Arc 1-chapter 9

In few more months , I will be 10 huh . I need to apply for leave in both academy and alchemy association. I think I should ask my senior master for a leave. As for library of academy , it is almost time for new recruits. I will have atleast 5 days of leave . Luckily an apprentice like me already have less work in alchemy association so, I won't have any problems even if I need take few days leave.

Getting away from the bath , I look myself in the mirror . Well , this is both unexpected and a troublesome. My eyes turned golden and they have vertical slits in them . Any idiot can point out my eyes , even my teeth are evolved , only my front incisors are square, all of my canines , molars , premolars . Everything are triangular razor sharp teeth like Quetzalcotal's from Fate grand order. I think in my next level of cultivation , even my from teeth might turn razor sharp. Even my face is a little better than before, it is now average , my hair has white tints in it . Ofcourse , this is not a big trouble since the changes can go unnoticable but the eyes . I need to do something about them .

I can easily go on toe to toe with Gold level and beginner black gold experts. So, that means I can use techniques that can mask my look . Only the ones who cross the level of Legend rank can find something wrong with my masking technique. I used a masking technique ,I learnt in the library . My eyes look normal but what others see is an illusion.

Going into the Alchemy association , I applied for leave .Ugh! I had to meet the senior master alchemist Yang Xin now . She is a hot woman like a model . She is one of the woman whom i can stay comfortable with . No , not because she treats me specially or anything but it's just that she used alchemy to mask her scent . It's comfortable to stay near her even her behaviour towards me is a normal which is surprising. She sees someone with alchemy knowledge with respect while others are normal in her eyes . Ofcourse to the ones who tries to flirt with her , she will crush them by subtly make them embarrass while asking alchemy related questions . If you are able to answer them , you might have gained her admiration but that's it. Considering how she came from a super under dog background I can understand her thinking .

But still , I am recently able to adjust to this world's philosophy which still I dislike but I can't do anything about it. Here, your value as a human being is very less or absolute zero , the people of this world only sees 'power' in a person , it can be in any form like knowledge, wealth , cultivation or status. Without them , there will be always contempt and sense of superiority towards the weak.

Shaking of my negative thoughts, I approached the master alchemist Yang Xin.

Yang xin- my , to think that it is the young apprentice Tian who requested leave . What is the occasion if I may ask ?

wait? why is she Interested in my leave ? her tone has an underlying intention . If not for my 'enhanced wisdom', I might not have grasped it. I'm just a no name apprentice here damn it okay , I might have gained a little bit fame for my age . Have I made a mistake or is it just her that is genuinely Intrested in me ? Inside many thoughts and plans have formed but outside less than a second has passed.

I put on my natural slightly smiling expression and said.

Xiao Tian- Master Yang Xin , I'm planing to take a break . I've been doing another job in Holy orchid academy and I got leave there . I have to take care of lot of things in home too.

Yang xin- Oh, alright but I'm more interested in the fragrance coming from you . You are an apprentice alchemist but the scent of herbs from you are a high level ones not to mention your hair has slight tints of white . You can't refine pills since you did not started cultivation yet so, have you tried any herbal bath , if so what made an alchemy apprentice use high level herbs and what are its effects?

Holy....she is perceptive ! may be due to this topic being related to alchemy she might have asked too deep into it. No matter, I have already prepared many excuses but she might see through it , whatever . Everything won't go in my way , I just don't have to make sure I don't get attention.

Xiao Tian- It is a Medicinal herb called 'Ox-talon' , I read it can purify essence . I tested it myself by experimenting it with another herbs but as you can see , my hair turned little white as a side effect and had a fragrance on me .

Yang xin- I see, don't try to waste the alchemy resources , I appreciate your efforts but you still have a long way to go.You may leave

Xiao Tian- Thank you .

She did give me leave , luckily she believed in me . Although, just to make sure I have to be careful and pack everything in the storage ring .

There is no way anyone can break the formation I placed in my home , and all they will see is normal house. In her perspective, I'm just a low level apprentice. Why I am hating hiding like this , is it because these people far weaker than me surrounding -Uh! what am I thinking!! I should not underestimate humans . Humanity is one of the most dangerous species alive, I should take logical approach at the same time make sure I won't be unhappy with my decisions.

Making my way home , I hide everything related to modern alchemy. There is no way , people of this world can break the formation in this house with the inferior knowledge but still, better safe than sorry. I have some important herbs I've been growing in my back yard.

The next day , I drew small illusion formation with illusion-Tree demon blood which will stay in my home and sleep . Meanwhile , I changed my looks entirely and entered the market buying some stuff for venturing out , honestly I have no experience in outside world . The chances of death are high , I didn't even tried my petrification gaze.

I need to create a refrigerator when I have time in future.With all the tools ready, I went to my house and locked it. Waiting till night for my time to escape from here. I bet there are city lords guards roaming around the border of the city. I need to be careful with them , After my cultivation to silver rank now I have night vision , distant vision and thermal vision so, I can probably notice them if I focused enough.
