Ruby turned five this year. His mom showered love on him nonstop, and his dad started opening up to him.

His fifth birthday was even grander than his first one, and the queen gifted him a beautiful necklace, which had a jewel carved to look like a fire dragon. It was so fancy that Aysel wanted Ruby to start wearing it after he is old enough to realize how valuable it is. Ruby promised the queen that he would take good care of it, so Aysel reluctantly let him wear it.

The Queen acted spoiled around Ruby and liked to act as her big sister, and no one could stop her from doing so, except Aysel. Ruby and the Queen (now her big sister) used to spend a lot of quality time with each other, but now because of some work the queen was a little busy. Ruby liked to call the queen Pearl.

His mom was a little conservative, but Gabriel convinced Aysel to send him to school. He will start school this year. At the time of admission to the royal academy, all kids go through an aptitude exam. The aptitude exam is based on the probability of whether a young child would be able to learn magic or not. He told us to keep following the blue arrows as they lead to the main ground where the aptitude of all children was being measured.

A crowd was gathered in the corner of the ground in the shape of a semicircle looking at some kind of activity. Nohara's family got to the end of the line. A child around the same age as Ruby was touching a ball with both his palms, suddenly the ball started shining with a little hint of green. Watching this, Ruby's mom told him in a very shushed voice.

"Remember, do what I told you to do, and nothing will go wrong. You have been practicing for months. The only thing which will never betray you is your hard work."

"After an hour of waiting in line, they were halfway across the queue, they saw a cute little kid walking like she owned the place, her tail was swinging, blowing dust and dead leaves from trees around, signifying how excited she was.

Ruby cheered in a loud voice.

"Go, big sister Eris."

The loud cheer made the nonchalant girl slip, which made everyone laugh. She got up glared at Ruby with red cheeks and then rushed toward the orb. The moment she touched the orb, the orb started shining with a hint of green. The tail dropped down, seemingly disappointed, she sighed loudly and then closed her eyes, She was concentrating, as if the orb was responded to her plea it started glistened with a bright green light which blinded everyone for a second.

Everyone had their mouths wide open and were awed by this phenomenon, the parents who couldn't contain their pride because of the good results of their children were stunned with disbelief. Ruby on the other hand had a wide grin on his face. Aysel was looking at Eris with a proud expression, and Gabriel was also impressed.

After the examination, she walked towards Noharas with a spring in her steps and punched Ruby on his head, which made Ruby groan.

"Big sister why do you keep bullying me, what if I turn stupid because you keep hitting on my head."

Eris said

"You are already stupid, so you don't need to worry about that."

Aysel started laughing, and Gabriel had a hint of a smile while hearing the duo bicker about stupid things.

Aysel told Eris.

"Ok, Eris, you need to get going. You have one more test left, good luck with that."

"Yes, auntie. Bye will see you later."

After around half an hour later, it was now Ruby's turn, and he was just going to touch the orb, but at that moment, a large lightning bolt flew across the sky, creating a mighty roar, and the orb shined like a wreath nebula for a moment and then dimmed. Only a small percentage of the crowd witnessed the glowing Orb.

After Ruby calmed down the Orb only had a hint of green left and looked normal.

After that, Ruby was told to go towards the other end of the ground, where the second part of the examination will take place.

Ruby explained to his mom.

"Mom, I was scared by the thunder and committed a blunder there."

Aysel didn't know how to respond, but she comforted him, and the family started walking towards the other end of the ground.

At the other end of the ground was a large cube covered with red leather and a digital screen on top of it. People would punch it, and a number would appear in front of it.

The average score was ten, and their max score till now was 25. Eris was waiting in line to punch the bag, and her demeanor signified how she couldn't wait to show off her strength.

When she pulled her fist getting ready to punch, wind pressure was increasing. Sand and small stones were flying in circles around her. It was barely noticeable, but it was still there.
