MAYA!

I woke up to the sound of tweeting from birds.

I fluttered my eyes open, suddenly realising that this was the first time I had slept so deep and good, without having to be forcefully woken up by Maya.

Speaking of Maya, how was she now?

What was she doing now?

All these still felt like a dream, but wasn't it high time I accepted that it was all real.

Yesterday just went by in minutes, the reason was probably because it was already evening when we got here. So I never saw anyone till I slept off.

I would have said that it was rude, but it was my fault actually.

Because as soon as I hit the very soft bed yesterday, I slept off, without even thinking of having food. It was like the soft bed lured me, and even put my thoughts to sleep.

And now that I'm awake, I am so hungry.

I soon heard a knock on the door, so I immediately got down to open it. Meeting two pretty girls standing in front of me, while holding a tray of food.

I stare at the food, then at the girls.

By now, I knew they were siren girls.

They also stared at me with delight and warmth, and I still wondered why.

But then, one of them spoke "greetings to you daw!!...."

Before she could finish her statement, the other girl hit her in the elbow, causing her to yelp, but then immediately realised something, and changed whatever she wanted to say..."I mean....dear human!"

The other girl just sighed and spoke to me "do not mind my friend over here, I think she swallowed a berry" I could notice the sarcasm as she spoke.

"Anyways, we have brought you food to eat, by the queen"

The siren queen?

What a nice queen, there was probably nothing she was gaining in return...

I also hope you noticed my sarcasm.

So I decided to stretch my hand to at least take the tray from theirs.

But before I could even move, the two girls have already moved into the room and gently placed the tray on a table by themselves.

They then turned to me, and smiled again. Like I was their good friend or something.

Seriously, what was really going on here...

I don't even feel safe anymore...

And they just walked away..., leaving me standing by the door.

I just sighed and wondered how and when my life turned into this.

Oh right, when I decided to turn against my consciousness and stalk my weird uncle Cedric in the night, only to be taken into an unreal world where everything seemed abnormal.

You know, I think I was starting to blame my uncle Cedric.

Whom I haven't even seen ever since I got here...

So what was there to even appreciate..

I continued raging in my mind as I sat on the bed, unaware of the light that was shining away from me. Until it got bigger, finally attracting my attention.

I then turned my eyes to the sudden light, and almost gasped out loud from my seat to what I was seeing.

Point of correction, whom I was seeing standing in front of me.

It was my maid Maya!

She stood, staring at me as I also stared back not even knowing what or how to speak.

Was it because I was stunned to find her here in this world. Or the fact that she was completely different to how I know she looked like.

She bore a different feature.

She was taller, dressed in some sort of black cloak, all the way down to her feet, covering up her whole body.

But she didn't put the hood on, so I could clearly see her face. Her hair was unimaginably purple, straight, and shabbily cut.

The Maya I knew had a curly black hair.

Her facial features were also a lot different.

Probably because she looked much more younger than her old self, and she had markings as cracks on the whole left side of her face.

It was more of like a carving, but they were also glowing in purple energy.

She looked like a witch!

No offense though.

"Maya!? What are you doing here! No.

How are you here?!" I spat out almost immediately.

"Look Neera, there is no time to speak or waste".

"What you need to do is come with me now" she said out of the blue as she began approaching me.

But I immediately acted out of instinct, and stepped back.

"Why should I follow you? Where are you taking me?"

"I can't tell you right now but you just have to trust me" she said again, and I got slightly angry.

"Trust you, you suddenly just appeared in my room. Mind you, in another world".

"When I knew you and trusted you, you were just my maid. How did you suddenly have the powers to also come here? when I myself am still having trouble in getting sure if I wasn't still stuck in a weird dream!" I almost shouted, and she also shouted back, out of frustration.

"Ugh.., just trust me! now and I would explain everything to you later. But for now, I need to get you out of here"

"Why!"

"As far as I know, the people I have known here have been nice to me. Especially the twins, I can't just follow you"

"And even if they were all bad, how am I sure you're not even worse. At least they didn't hide their real identity when they first met me, unlike you"

"Stop....it! we are delaying time" she shouted at me.... again.

The nerve....

"Just tell me how you are here, and why you suddenly want to take me away.

Are you also part of them? I need an explanation!" I also spoke without any fear.

I knew I could never speak this free if they were here. But now that I was with someone I knew from birth.

Oh wait, how was I even sure now that I knew her at all from the beginning. That all those were just lies....

But still, I was free to pour out my mind to her.

"You have to....." Before she could finish her sentence, the door flew open and suddenly, the twins appeared in the room.

But all their eyes were only focused on was one person, Maya.

"Leave now Disha" Abel spoke with a glare. "you know you are not welcome in the Selene kingdom. Or any where near the mystic world".

Wait..., They knew her?...

I turned to Maya In shock. But all she did was smirk as she faced them.

"Easy there twins" she said "I am only here for the girl".

Girl? Me?

"There's no way we're letting you take her away..." Zach said.

"You don't even know if she's the real Dawn.." Maya said in frustration.

"Maybe we do, maybe we don't" Abel shrugged.

"But the fact here is, you wouldn't want to take her away if she wasn't something special. so I think you have just given us more prove that we can't give her to you" Zach concluded with a smirk also.

I frowned in my mind as I wondered if it was me they were talking about like I was for some trade.

But in other ways, I wasn't going anywhere with her.

Not that I fully trusted the others too, I'm not even sure I know where my life was heading anymore. But for now, I guess I'll just stay where my heart leads.

A glare formed on Maya or disha's face as she stared at the twins, then she tried moving towards me again.

But Abel stepped closer towards me with glaring eyes at her.

"Remember Disha, you don't have your powers anymore. So it would be a great disadvantage for you if you begin a battle here".

"It's better if you leave" Zach spoke again.

Then she stared at me for a while in annoyance, before disappearing in ashes.

I still stood rooted to the ground, wondering what had just happened.

Well, I just met my maid appear in another world, in a total different appearance.

And she wants something to do with me, which I don't know what it was. But luckily for me, the twins saved me.

They turned to me and smiled a bit as Zach said "sorry about that Neera".

"We promise you won't see her again"

Wont see her again...,

Then I wondered, Was she really evil?
