Chapter Fifth

Flashback:

Imagine being 5 & left home alone. You believe you deserve this poor treatment, so you just cry because your mommy hates you.

That is how Allison felt. Allison's mother, Maria, has been gone for nearly 2 months.

Allison doesn't know how to cook or clean, yet, so Allison's home is filthy. Allison has candy wrappers & popsicle wrappers & sticks everywhere.

Allison had spit on the floor, it all turned orange because of the contents of blood in the snot in the spit.

The spot would mostly just blend in & was usually never filled with snot nor blood, just liquid so it was drying into the carpet.

Allison decided to clean up, so she grabbed a vacuum to vacuum the spit. It helped a lot, she poured water & soap on the floor.

Allison had sinus issues which led to mucus buildup.

Allison felt like God told her to "Wait for 29 seconds, then vacuum again & clean up this whole house."

So, Allison did as he told and set a timer on her mom's computer for the time God told her, after the timer went off, she vacuumed.

God told her that "This house is utterly disgusting, go pick up all the trash you flung around!" So, Allison did just that.

Eventually, the house looked clean with God guiding her to pick up & clean the trash & grime.

God instructed her to bathe, so she got liquid soap, two wash cloths, & turned on the shower. God told her to "Shower!" Instead of take a regular bath.

Allison put the soap on the wash cloths, with one having only a drop of soap on it while the other had globs of soap.

The one with the drop of soap would have only been used for her privates, while the one with globs of soap was for the rest of her body.

Allison hated showers because she can't play in the soap & relax, but because God told her to take one for her own physical cleanliness, having nothing to do with her spiritual cleansing, she chose to do so.

Allison took the shower that God wanted her to use to literally just clean her body from the grime & germs that still exist.

After the shower, her mother, Maria, came home. Allison got dressed in her onesie & visited her mom. Maria looked around, saw the house was clean & was happy to smell soap in the air.

God had Allison clean up the house because of two reasons:

1. Her mother, Maria, would have locked her in her room for 3 days without food or water for the mess as a punishment.

2. God had begun to detest the house itself due to the overwhelming filth.

God had to deal with the mess quickly as her mother was driving home the whole time. Maria ignored her daughter, the best possible outcome, & slept on the bed in Maria's bedroom. Allison was happy to see her house wasn't smelly, anymore.

Present Day:

Allison is prepping for a better future with Brock. Brock still hates Maria with a bitter passion, because his wife has told him that story before.

Brock saw Maria cooking, but it was clear he wasn't keen on her making anything for his family & cooked a better meal than her Sausage & Beans.

Brock felt nothing was rage against her. He felt like she was a severe threat to his household, a monster in sheep's clothing, a bitter, evil lady who wanted revenge against her innocent daughter.

Brock hated Maria with a burning passion that surpassed all understanding & reason. Brock saw a bottle of Tylenol on the counter, then shouted "Uh, Allison! No Tylenol, that can cause Autism & ADHD, we'll have to deal with that for 18 years!"

Allison quickly came downstairs saying "BRock, I didn't buy Tylenol! I sold our last batch to Lidia next door because she had pain in the back of her neck."

Brock looks at Allison whose standing at the bottom of the staircase looking perplexed.

Allison says "Mom, did you buy Tylenol? We can't use that, you can, though."

Brock says to Maria "You can use it, but she's pregnant, it's been deemed unsafe. I'll find another pain reliever for pregnant women checked by the FDA."

Maria says "I took it while pregnant, my baby was fine." Maria bought the Tylenol for Allison.

Brock says "I'm scared for the baby." Brock is a good father & husband, he seems to love his entire family. Brock scooped himself a Glass of Ice Cream.

Maria mocks him by saying "Afraid of medicine, the common Christian." This mockery made Brock drop his glass onto the floor, causing it to utterly shatter.

Brock lost it yelling "What you mean 'The common Christian?' Y'all unsaved, unholy freaks all wanna mock Christianity, what about when you abandoned your daughter for nearly 2 months?"

Maria remembered that & wasn't phased at all, but was angry about his accusations. Brock yelled "What about when you broke into my house? We had to call the police!"

Allison was offended too, so she let Brock say what he wanted to say. Maria says "I wasn't a Christian, back then," Trying to lie that she is one, now.

Brock says "You still ain't Christian or you wouldn't have said that! You used to beat your daughter! Now, you wanna act like you're better than us?!" Feeling utterly flabbergasted at the audacity.

Maria said that "I was raped, cut me some slack, Brock!" Trying to get some sympathy from Brock. Brock backed down at that statement.

Allison didn't feel bad for letting Brock speak his mind, just that her mom was made this way by trauma & felt sympathy for her mom. Brock felt more sympathy for Allison.

Allison went to bed because she was tired of the fighting while Brock comforted Maria in due-sympathy, as she was raped & that is a hard thing to go through.

The next day, Maria opened one of her searches on Tylenol she had made two days prior, & saw the usual sentiment she came across the last time: Tylenol was dangerous.

Maria just kept looking up dangerous medicines for pregnancy. Brock walked in on her saying "Hey!" Then saw the searches.

Brock says "Don't look that up, it gives me a bad feeling," then took her phone from her & read the page in curious caution.

Brock read most of the searches & Said that "Great, just great. Medicine that is useful is even in here." Maria laughs instead of showing concern, which confuses the depressed Brock.

Brock got up & Went to guard his wife because he just doesn't feel comfortable with Maria in the house.

Brock never felt good about Maria, he always had a bad feeling in his stomach about her. He'd often lock their bedroom door at night to keep Maria from hurting them in their sleep. The crib was even supposed to be relocated to their room out of his distrust of Maria.
